Amazon

Amazing, I ordered something yesterday at 4-30pm, delivered today at 12-15, it was cheaper than I could buy it anywhere, an email with a 2-hour timeslot and a link to live tracking, and they gave me 30 days of free prime, and so no delivery costs, If I'm unlucky to buy from a company who uses Evri, I'm likely to wait days or not ever get it, Royal mail are very slow and expensive, I can see a time not far from now where Amazon are the only online retailer, Hell I can order a bottle of Whisky now and have it by 4pm.
It's not good in the long term because once they totally dominate retail, prices will shoot up, but for now it's no wonder they are doing well.

I've been using prime for years, it was a godsend during the pandemic and for last minute Christmas / birthday presents. It's a great service but I still use local shops now and again (for the likes of vape juice , as Amazon don't sell any nicotine products).

Hard to fault Amazon Prime. Next day delivery on virtually everything (no same day available where I am) and their returns policy is as good as anyone - easy returns and no questions asked. Much easier than trailing around shops just to find that they are out of stock.

Also useful for my mam who is 88 and finds it hard to get to the shops. If she wants something she rings me, I will order it for her (got her card details as one of my payment methods) and then she gets it the next day. The Amazon suggestion algorithms must think I'm a strange person.

We get our money's worth with the unlimited delivery, free books and entertainment stuff.

Mental to think it only started 19 years ago and it was just some bloke selling books out of his garage.

I’ll add my vote to praise Amazon. The mrs is never off it and I enjoy the Amazon prime channel as well.

she orders that much, they offered to set up a business account

she orders stuff and it comes within a few hours sometimes

It's been going longer than that. I think my first Amazon order was in 1998. I had been looking for a book then someone suggested I use this new website called Amazon.
