If they paid £35m four years ago, even if that was on an initial 6 year contract then surely his book value is a lot less than £50m. I think you could get him for £30m if United plan to strengthen that position.
 
I agree 50M is way too much . Then I remember that Claire has just gone to Barcelona for 80M , so perhaps not .

Quite a few of those at wingback under that twat Amorin.
I watched ManU quite a few times and noticed that Amad was involved in a lot of their goals not necessarily counting as assists. Their strikers missed heaps of chances before Amorin got the chop .
Amad had a much better time under Carrick although he wasn't always a starter.
Think this rumour is BS mind .

Hard call for me....I'd be more keen on Anis and Roony for probably close to 50m for the both of them over Amad personally...but it's more of a gamble on two that are unproven in the premier league over 1 guy that's proven to be extremely competent at a position we so desperately need to upgrade

Like most I reckon he was sensational for us in the pub league. Technically brilliant, hard worker, plenty of flair. Add in Roberts and Clarke and up front we were dog whatnots .. in pub league
We got Sadiki, Alderete and Mukiele and Roefs and still had change from 50m, so I believe the alleged cited fee is too much
As someone else mentioned there is a whiff of Borini about such a deal. Player tries hard on loan showing what he can do but in reality believes himself worthy of a better club. Borini was dog5hit when we bought him.
I think there is better value for money out there and more hungrier players like Sadiki. If we are to spend big it needs to be a player who can provide all the attributes Xhaka brings to the table and which were undoubtedly the reason we both stayed up and prospered, not someone who may believe he is worthy of a big household name of a club

I think Amad is the type of player who could feed off Brobbey coming in for the lay offs. Also I reckon he could supply isidor with a load of tap ins as well as score a few himself.
BUT..30 million would be my absolute Max.
