having a go at pulis is fair enough but to say etherington handballed on the line a couple of seasons back was wrong
he was sent off in the game for an off the ball incident on d collins.
pugh was on the line and saved malnbranques header

There were only three people in the Stadium Of Light who believed that Danny Pugh kept out Steed Malbranque's header with his chest: ref Rob Styles, his assistant, and gullible Stoke team-mate Glenn Whelan.
Pugh had better hope Whelan missed Match Of The Day on Saturday night because footage of the most blatant hand-ball since Diego Maradona's in 1986 will expose him as a bare-faced liar.
"Danny says it hit him square on the chest so if that is the case, Sunderland have nothing to complain about," said Whelan.
"Danny is not one for lying so I believe him."
