Alnmouth Mackems

There is no doubt that your post has managed to really upset a number of MLF who were born in Northumberland and continue to live there.
A number of MLF who support us through thick and thin (mostly thin).
Your point is that we should be viewed the same as Durham Mags - but surely you don’t mean we should be looked down by Sunderland supporters do you?
You should try being a Sunderland supporter living in an area where the overwhelming number of football fans support the Mags.
We get incredible stick, and most of us have had that stick for decades. We have to listen to them, and fight back with unwavering support for Sunderland.
But the stick we receive makes even more dedicated to the red and white cause.
And that dedication will never waiver - which is why your comments have really upset a lot of us. We are certainly not “attention seekers” - what we are is red and white to the core.
Cracking comment!!

Born in Hylton Castle, grew up in Low Fell, now living in Gosforth for over 30 years.
First game at Roker Park in 1969 and continuous season ticket since 1972 except for four years when at University in the mid-eighties.
Current seat since the SOL opened is 12 rows behind the manager.
None of this matters though because I'm just an attention seeker unlike the mag OP

Any Sunderland fan born in Northumberland should be viewed the same as any Mag born in County Durham. Anything else is ripe hypocrisy. They are one of the same. We haven't won anything for 50 years, the mags haven't won anything since colour TV was invented so it hasn't been success that has sorted one fanbase from the other. Just attention seekers trying to go against the grain.
What a load of shite.

Ryhope. If we relied on fans only from Sunderland we'd be lucky to get 15k gates. Fortunately we can count on the support of fans from far wider afield which is great. But of course the same applies to tbe mags but for some reason loads of people on here have a problem with that.
You should be bbq'd for that statement marra. Bbq'd.

u don't know the reasons for any individual supporting Sunderland or them. You're simply pulling facts out of your backside. The sooner people accept that whilst we have plenty of fans in North

It's pretty obvious for anyone with more than 2 brain cells to rub together but I'll try to explain again.

If we're mocking Newcastle fans for being from Durham it would be hypocritical not to apply the same rules to our fans who live in Northumberland.

Personally I don't really have a problem with either. People are free to support who they want but there's a lot on here who take great offence to mags from Durham but find it perfectly acceptable that there's lads fans living in Northumberland.
... and then went on to call Sunderland supporters born in north of the Tyne "attention seekers" don't forget that bit you helmet

Durham is little more than 10 miles from Newcastle. In fact it's easier to get to Newcastle from Durham than it is to Sunderland using public transport. To suggest that they didn't have any sort of fanbase there pre 1992 is ludicrous.

The all time average attendance table for England has them in 5th position. No way do they pull in those sort of numbers without having fans spread out all over the NE and the same could be applied to us who are 10th highest in the entire country.
You are so blatantly obvious a skunk
Main difference in my biased view as a Sunderland fan from northumberland between us and Durham mags is Northumberland Sunderland fans don't pretend to be be from Sunderland, don't put on fake Makem accents and don't slag off Tyneside in an attempt to 'prove how Sunderland' we are.
Durham mags seem to want to associate themselves more with Newcastle and slag off Wearside endlessly.
And they are fat and smelly.
This 👆in a nutshell

Schooner hotel in Alnmouth has been closed down indefinitely by the public health due to rat infestation in the bar ,cellar and kitchen areas ,I reported the owners 4 yrs ago for breaches of fire and safety regulations, He appeared in court last August and received a hefty fine with a suspended sentence. Somehow I don't think he's a fit a proper person to run that place.

Charged 11 quid for a pint and a half of cordial orange in there last year. Took ages to come. The wife said they were the worst bogs she had seen in her life. Ghosts or not, need new management

Did an air bnb in Alnmouth a couple of times back in spring. The owner of the property told us to avoid the schooner at all costs, saying its a complete health hazard.
