What part of Sunderland are you from ?

I am presuming it's Sunderland, since you seem to be anti anyone else supporting the club that is not from Sunderland.

Ryhope. If we relied on fans only from Sunderland we'd be lucky to get 15k gates. Fortunately we can count on the support of fans from far wider afield which is great. But of course the same applies to tbe mags but for some reason loads of people on here have a problem with that.

I sort of see what you are saying, I've not seen any Northumberland lads giving it big licks though, I can't say the same about the Durham mags though, absoulte bellends from personal experience.

Dear me how old are you? 7? Rounding people up to put me on ignore because I've put over a different opinion to the majority. Do you realise how pathetic that sounds

Bit rich considering you've described people with an alternative view as not having "more than 2 brain cells to rub together". Just because you have a different opinion doesn't mean we can't call it out as total horse shit.

That was in response to a remark made against me. The irony of me getting loads of shite from having a different view to the majority on here must be lost on you.

It's pretty obvious for anyone with more than 2 brain cells to rub together but I'll try to explain again.

If we're mocking Newcastle fans for being from Durham it would be hypocritical not to apply the same rules to our fans who live in Northumberland.

Personally I don't really have a problem with either. People are free to support who they want but there's a lot on here who take great offence to mags from Durham but find it perfectly acceptable that there's lads fans living in Northumberland.

I couldn’t give a shite about Durham mags. I’m a proud Northumbrian who supports Sunderland. There’s a massive following all over Northumberland who back us and get respect from actual Sunderland fans from the Sunderland area.

Any Sunderland fan born in Northumberland should be viewed the same as any Mag born in County Durham. Anything else is ripe hypocrisy. They are one of the same. We haven't won anything for 50 years, the mags haven't won anything since colour TV was invented so it hasn't been success that has sorted one fanbase from the other. Just attention seekers trying to go against the grain.
There is no doubt that your post has managed to really upset a number of MLF who were born in Northumberland and continue to live there.
A number of MLF who support us through thick and thin (mostly thin).
Your point is that we should be viewed the same as Durham Mags - but surely you don’t mean we should be looked down by Sunderland supporters do you?
You should try being a Sunderland supporter living in an area where the overwhelming number of football fans support the Mags.
We get incredible stick, and most of us have had that stick for decades. We have to listen to them, and fight back with unwavering support for Sunderland.
But the stick we receive makes even more dedicated to the red and white cause.
And that dedication will never waiver - which is why your comments have really upset a lot of us. We are certainly not “attention seekers” - what we are is red and white to the core.

Great post. I've lived and breathed every word for the last 50 years.

This. It’s not the first time this whopper has had a go either

If he is talking about 2 brain cells he could only dream of that.

Totally agree mate

I’m North Shields born and bred get loads of stick But my support for SAFC grows more stronger with the more stick I get.

Since my first game in1971 to this day my support to the red and white cause will never waiver

I lived over back from Appleby Park as a kid , Dad and younger brother both massive SAFC fans too , although old man only gets the odd game now due his health

My two lads and daughter all red and white too

Did your dad or yourself ever get the Priory bus over to Roker Park in the 70/80s ?

Nah. I would sometimes get the 310 bus over if I was going on my own or with my brother cos it stopped right outside our front door in Linskill Terrace. My dad would take us in the car if he was going. We'd go with my uncle and cousin and meet up at East Howden club then leave one car and all go over in the other car. My dad and uncle would go to the Cliff and we'd get sent to the ground for 1.30 opening 🤣🤣

Aye Northburn here too. Got a kind comment from someone when I was wearing me original 81 shirt one summer day walking along the burn.

I think @doodlebugs is a fellow Ellington Branch member. Who I potentially got on the bus with for Luton last season down by Alex Scotts garage. In case it is you just a heads up to who I am ;)
aye twas me,not seen you since, where ya hiding?
No branch here mate, the only one in our area is South East Northumberland branch. They do a bus to home games which leaves from Ashington. We're just a self-appointed Cramlington branch. Haha.
thought i'd not heard of one owa here,Ellington member here
