Alnmouth Mackems

If we're going to slag off Durham mags we need to pay to same rules to lads fans from Northumberland otherwise it just makes us look like massive hypocrites.
Or you look like a massive cock. 😀

When we come down we see loads of SAFC cars and a couple of supporters buses heading to the tunnel. If people like you wanted to take that support away there would be a big hole in our support.

Comparing Northumberland SAFC support to plastic 1992 mags is just daft and completely disrespectful.

So you are saying I should be “slagged off” because I support Sunderland but live in Northumberland.
At a rough estimate I have been to over 1200 Sunderland games (home and away) having been brought up as a Sunderland supporter from being a young kid.
Rarely missed a home game since 1971.

Go on than slag me off, a fellow Sunderland supporter, who has been through the lowest of times with my club.

You're doing a good job of proving my point about Northumberland lads fans marra

If we can slag off mags from Durham then surely our fans that live in "their" catchment area should be treated the same.

Surely anything else is just mass hypocrisy.

A lot of the Sunderland fans in the Ashington area their families moved there to the pits.

Football hole, it's called.
We've stayed in a great Airbnb property a couple of times just on the edge of the path down to Football Hole - my kids loved going down to that beach where they were little as frequently nobody was on it so they thought it was their own !!

Any Sunderland fan born in Northumberland should be viewed the same as any Mag born in County Durham. Anything else is ripe hypocrisy. They are one of the same. We haven't won anything for 50 years, the mags haven't won anything since colour TV was invented so it hasn't been success that has sorted one fanbase from the other. Just attention seekers trying to go against the grain.
Imagine believing the place you are born is what forms your allegiance with a football team??:rolleyes:

Go on then slag me off.

Interested to know how you are going to slag me off.

You obviously think very little of me.

Go on then tell me how poorly you think of me, a fellow Sunderland supporter who has attended over 1200 Sunderland games.

Don’t know if they’re still there but there used to be a few diehard MLF’s in South West Northumberland in the late 90’s.

I can remember two lads (brothers I think) who used to regularly go in the pubs in Corbridge that were showing Mag games in SAFC home tops. The lads were both well known and got no grief of a predominantly NUFC clientele.

@mackembhoy @doodlebugs - Haway the NE23 Branch. Northburn here. Whereabouts are you? I'll often wear a Sunderland top while out walking my Beagle in summer. Keep an eye out.

Utter bollocks.
Aye Northburn here too. Got a kind comment from someone when I was wearing me original 81 shirt one summer day walking along the burn.

I think @doodlebugs is a fellow Ellington Branch member. Who I potentially got on the bus with for Luton last season down by Alex Scotts garage. In case it is you just a heads up to who I am ;)

You are some bloke I’ll give you that.

You should pop onto the Ashington and Ellington supporters buses on Sunday and share your views.

Tapping away on a computer is easy.

I have no problem with you. Why would I? It's not me you need to be arguing with. People are free to support who they like. We're not living in North Korea.

My point was pulling up the mass hypocrisy of many on this forum. The hatred some people show to "Durham mags" yet think it's perfectly fine that we have fans in Northumberland is just weird. Surely they are just one of the same. In my opinion that's people who support a football team that is relatively close to where they are from/live.

To many on here that isn't the case.

Why am I going to drive from Ryhope up to Ashington to then travel back down to Sunderland you clown

After the match dipshit?

You won’t have balls for that keyboard warrior. If you actually go to the match

Well a lot go to Jacksons before the game, so you can tell them there instead.

Debating with him is akin to to teaching a Labrador trigonometry 😀

One of the worst posts I’ve seen on here (that’s saying something)

Sons (and daughters) should be brought up to follow their dad’s teams. I’ve lived all over (now East Durham) and all my kids are Sunderland daft.

People take exception (and rightly so) to turncoats from the pit villages in Co Durham as they’ve always been Sunderland strongholds until Keegan and now the Saudis.

Folk up in Northumberland will have had the birth right passed on through generations and deserve credit for bringing up their kids/grand kids properly.
