All that glitters ain’t gold

Major investors had to make way for the deal to go through and the competition was not up to meeting the criteria required by Short.

Time will tell, but judging by the interview, he’s a nice guy and they don’t always succeed and a great PR man by his side.

I genuinely hope Donald can get the club promoted first time around, but, I don’t hear any quotes of money is not an issue. What I do hear is quotes about the size of the fan base and the income it can generate, SOME! Championship clubs will be envious of our budget, (that wouldn’t take much) and the transfer fees in Div 1 are not that high!(if you want to be the best you have to pay the best), a club like Sunderland will be held to ransom.

Here’s hoping, however; I predict that by Xmas because of his naivety and lack of investment the fans will have turned on him.
6 in a row you fuckin bellend.

Don’t be paranoid, I’m 100% not a mag. I just can’t believe some of the stuff the new owners are spouting already and the way they are doing their dealings appears to be unconventional.

They came across as a couple of chancers to me in the press conference......Hopefully they will walk the walk.
At last someone is getting my drift, BBQ and free drinks on the pitch if you help us put new seats in, have we really stooped to that level!

His thinking is of that as if he was at a small pro/am league club, like his previous club.

Bore off ya dog nonce......."allegedly"

The OP is a tosser, end of .

I admit to being a little confused by all of this.

People are insisting he's just another undercover sad Mag bellend but there are genuine Sunderland supporters, on the thread, who agree with everything he says.

I just don't know what to think tbh.

Do these pretend Sunderland supporters really exist on this board

Couldn't agree more with all of that.

I don't agree. I think we are in for another magic carpet ride but one which might have better foundations e.g. an owner and a manager who are both more experienced, who know what they want and how to get it at this level, whop are going to be hands on and, as a result, we are likely to go somewhat further in the long run than was previously the case.
