Good to see they aren’t getting carried away. After all the stadium has just had a wash

They need to focus on not getting relegated first. Also there is no way they could regularly fill 80,000.

Leazes Park and surrounding area is really historic to the city - do these people realise not everything revolves around football?
Grade II listed park and also the oldest park in the city. It goes to show they really don't give a shit about anything else, as long their beloved toon wins a trophy.

He made a profit because he inherited a load of players that Ashley was able to sell for huge prices. Sissoko for £30m for fuck's sake!

He then spent a large amount on inflated fees for short term solutions that he lumbered the club and Bruce with.
Absolutely this! Benitez net spend looks so much better as he had Wijnaldum and Sissoko to sell

Our m0ng element want a new 80k stadium but simply building a new east stand and increasing the Gallowgate end so its all symetrical again would give a 60k capacity which would be enough.

Aye imagine the ructions if fat Mike had applied for planning for a big warehouse there, they'd try to murder him.
In fact if he wanted to build a bigger ground somewhere else they'd still have tried.
f***ing bellends the lot of them.

I've stayed off this thread as tbh I'm lost for words at this whole thing, however, I've just seen this piece on the BBC and read the comment from a fella called Mohammed Al-Jadaan, who is the KSA Minister of Finance and acting Minister of the Economy and Planning.

"If people are worried about competition amongst clubs, and particularly now we have invested in one of them, possibly it's a good sign that there is a potential serious competitor coming their way, which is good for the whole football community," he said.

If, as has been widely reported, the state / kingdom is not involved who is the WE he is referring to? Strange thing for him to say.

Can't see Newcastle City Council or the government objecting, they'll all in with the bus bombers

The Premier League have enough in that statement to throw the whole thing out

It would never happen (for a million different reasons) but can you imagine if every club agreed to forfeit their games against Newcastle next season.

Newcastle would win a title. But they couldn't celebrate it, because everyone would know it wasnt earned.

There would be no games, so no matchday revenue, no TV broadcasts. They'd not have to buy any players and the fans wouldn't have anything to attend or celebrate.

Saudi would have totally failed at sportswashing.(outside of Newcastle anyway!)

The PL couldn't kick 19 clubs out either!

Obviously it would never happen in a million years. But if all 19 clubs did disapproved worked together, they could scupper the PL on a royal scale.
Of course it wouldn’t happen but it f***ing should. Why should teams try and compete against a bastard oil rich country man. It’s ludicrous. I’d Give them the lot. Award them the fa and league cups on the first day of the season with a receipt saying bought and paid for with your souls. The premier league can shove their trophy up their hoops the corrupt bastards..
