The fact is he wasn't very good and if he'd done better he wouldn't be out of a job so quickly.
It's weird why he always gets compared to Benitez. I don't think I recall any other managers constantly getting compared to their predecessor over two years later. But that's the conversation, Bruce vs Benitez. Was never Benitez vs McClaren, or Pardew vs Hughton.
You hated McLaren, hated Pardew, hated Bruce, hated Allerdyce, etc, etc....yet loved Rafa.
I wonder why that is.🤔

Good Article.
Assume this has already been shared on here but this is a clip of the Saudi Finance Minister talking about their purchase of Newcastle, laying out quite clearly that the separation argument is literal fantasy

Doesn't know the technicalities my arse.

Believe he doesn't follow football though, probably has no interest just lime his gaffer

Like Al Capone it will be something else that trips them up. The Saudi Monetary Authority also "recently" transferred 40bn USD from the FX reserves to PIF....but yet they say they are separate.

They've been bought out.

The Premier League agreed it.

It's done - what will be will be.

But if the other PL teams keep pushing and dig into the actual deal and the lack of separation, and the intervention of our own government?
It's going to run and run, and the off field distractions will continue to cloud everything. What the PIF need is for everything to calm down and for people to forget - just like it did with Man City.
But the other teams seem to - so far - not have a willingness to allow that to happen.

Christ there's some incredible hypocrisy from a number of PL clubs here - but just because they're hypocrites - it doesn't make their criticisms inaccurate.

the saudi overnment is a "client" of PIF...

They provided a Royal decree to say they were separate. Likewise they could provide a Royal decree to say they didn't murder the journalist.

A client, effectively the manage money on behalf of the KSA. True. But look at the governance when the Chairman is the ruler....call it what it is.

Seems to be doing all right at Everton.
And Moyes is doing alright at West Ham. Both are way past their best, and these days nothing more than shite fair weather managers who can’t handle the intensity of the north east. They’re alright in certain ‘comfy’ situations, but take them out of their comfort zone and they’re completely out of their depth. Benitez gets a free pass for being shite because he used to be someone, and you lot all hated Ashley so much.

Bruce is Bruce, he’s shite. Benitez is pretty much almost as shite these days, but has that big name reputation, as so many have already said.

oh eys there is no coproate governance and no speration..i was not disagreeing with you..
i was just putting into context the transfer of assets from the govt into the fund

Today is a Bruce love in organised by Sky Sports.

Interviews left right and centre with players and managers hailing him as some kind of footballing demi God.

For ffffff. Sake.

I didn't dislike Pardew at first thought he done well, but by the end of his second full season I felt he should've been gone. I was quite excited by Allardyce at first. Pretty neutral about McClaren before and after, felt nothing towards him either way, stirred up no emotion. I liked Benitez because I thought he done a good job.
But I can only speak for myself.
