What is it about you fuckers and a one club city?
So is Sunderland, Leeds, Derby, Portsmouth, Southampton.
For that matter f***ing Carlisle and York.
Not to mention they have the likes of Gateshead, Jarrow, Hebburn, South Shields on the doorstep with sizeable populations of Sunderland supporters. Thick as mince.

Like it or not we're all lumbered into with the wider Tyne & Wear metropolitan catchment area and there's certainly more than one club in it.

Holy f***ing shit man. Bet the Saudi's are absolutely pissing themselves at how easy it has been to sportswash those cretins.
I’m not even surprised in the slightest. They piped off Benitez for his full tenure despite him achieving absolutely zero at their club, based on what he had won at other clubs. They genuinely think they’re something special and different from any other city. I’ve been following Sunderland since 1990 and those dopey bastards have outdone themselves every year with something more bizarre. It’s an actual pleasure to call them our rivals, because they’re laugh a minute.

I mean it would be a massive surprise if they did pull out, nothing at all suggests they will do. Unsure why you think they would do.
I think there's a good amount of wishful thinking on this thread mind.

I mean, to suggest the sportwashing exercise isn't going well is a bit fanciful at present. They've not been there two minutes. They've come in to an absolute fanfare with the fans and Sky and the likes haven't batted an eyelid at the controversial side of it. Yes there's some dissent in the media but is it really going to come to much? They'll plough on and they'll undoubtedly invest in the club and not a great deal will stand in the way other than FFP, which unfortunately needs to be a lot more robust. The other PL clubs have taken a little stand that runs out in a month. What then?

The reality of the situation is they've got their feet under the table now and money will be ploughed into the club.

Because it’s such a shambles - if Milan goes through I could see them saying we only want one club.

Don’t know but it was mentioned that another buyer had offered more.

But they've already bought the club. Who would buy it off them?

They've clarified that they don't want to buy Inter haven't they?

This unfortunately. Anyone thinking otherwise is kidding themselves I reckon.
