Agree. If I'm working in a normal job I'd much rather live in the north east and London, the possibility of owning a decent house and a car. If I was seriously rich I'd rather be down there. Much more entertainment, weather a bit better, can get flights all over the world as well.Newcastle is fine for plebs like us with limited time and funds. A 20 odd year old on 80k a week who trains a few hours a day will sharp get bored, especially when they can’t leave the house without being hounded by an army of stinking cretins and their lass is nagging them because she’s miles away from the London night life. I love the north east but would I choose to live up here if I was on that kind of money? Probably not. The only way they’ll ever attract top talent is if they shifted their training facilities 300 miles south and ship the players up for the games.
