That the local police were in the dark, the FBI didn't give out a statement about what was going on..
I think personally think its got something to do with the sun or to be more specific about what's happening around the sun. Its interesting that NASA and China are sending probes to the sun this year ?

That is also possible, personally i think its the secret space program run out of Vandenberg air force base, where the Small version of the space shuttle is launched from, it is said to hold the record of time in space to be 2 years, which may suggest that its possible that there is a mother ship in orbit or as you say something weird going on, on the sun.

Seeing as the observatory AND a nearby Post Office were shut and the FBI called in I'd put money on it being something like a suspicious package containing powder or something.

The Irish space agency are sending a mission to investigate, they say the heat and radiation won't be an issue as they are going at night time.
For those of you that are not aware, solar observation. Australia, chile, Spain, Hawaii, Pennsylvania, have all been shut down same time the observatory in New Mexico was shut down what is so important why Blackhawks, are flying around,what are they searching for why is the FBI So involved They will never tell us the truth this is a serious thing going on.

Thank you for your patience while the closure at Sunspot Observatory is resolved. Our other facilities are open and NSO is operating as normal. @AURADC - our management org - is addressing a security issue at Sunspot and has temporarily vacated the facility as a precaution.
