Agreed. A few dodgy touches now and again and sometimes wish he'd play the ball earlier because he can dally in possession. He's still a good, solid player though and he will get better as he matures.

And out of possession too. He plays at far too slow a pace for the most part. He needs to sharpen up and speed up his thought process. Hopefully that will come with experience.

He's superb at keeping possession and making the pass, even when surrounded by players and the situation looks completely lost, he somehow manages to find the pass

I still think the criticism of him previously was way over the top. He didn't set the world alight but he wasn't too bad imo. He's still young and he came from another country into a poor team playing badly.

I'm happy enough with him so far and expect him to get better.

constantly moves into space AHEAD of the man with the ball. As has been stated, this movement from our midfield gives the man on the ball more options and creates space by dragging defenders around.

Did a nice job in the 2nd half when he got to the byline and cut the ball back. Also his shot was a decent effort from a tough angle - keeper had to save and unfortunately no-one following in to tap it in.

Made a couple of stray passes, but closed down quickly and was overall a good influence in midfield.

Doesn't seem to win too many aerial balls though.

I like him.

After a class drag back to come away from three of their players, then a good one-two with Sess!

I missed the post match proper player analysis as I was way too hungover to do anything on Monday and have been away with work until today.

Nevertheless Alfie was class, if he can play similar to that against Felliani (sp) tomo then we have a chance.

Also credit to Graham who performed admirably up top and proved it can be done, his awareness and hold up play were fantastic.

Haway the Lads

Edit: JOS was very good too. I am only highlighting the lads that didnt steal the limelight btw

Fantastic engine on the lad but he needs to improve with the ball.

His touches are heavy and his passing makes Whitehead look like Scholes.

Potential to be a good CM for us though, if he improves technically.

His passing and ball retention were much better on sunday.

I think when he first arrived he wanted far too much time on the ball, just getting used to the pace a bit more now

They were better he got caught less times, and kept it simple. Pass and move, it's amazing how much of a difference it can make.

He will get better no doubt, it's just how much he develops.

Needs a lot of work, though he had a good game on Sunday but wouldn't spunk in my pants just yet.

Could be canny once he settles.
