Great engine, good movement but his passing is suspect at times.

People who wrote him off just made themselves look like total tossers to be fair. He's a young lad coming to the Premier League to play in a side fighting relegation and some (a fair few ararl) wrote him off within his first few games.

We seem to have a fair few strong-willed supporters who think they know everything, but more often than not just end up with egg on their faces. The most infuriating thing for a more rational supporter is these idiots do the same thing, over and over and it doesnt seem to bother them when they're shown up.

Its the way of the SMB I'm afraid, if he's not the equivalent of Messi in the first couple of games, he's shite.

If the same people had been Arsenal fans, they would have been raging over how shite bergkamp was in his first season

Think most who wrote him off were just succumbing to the despondancy that had engulfed the club through February and March. must have been very hard for the lad coming into a team so low on confidence, and having to adjust not just to the new league but a new country.

He is what we needed. a powerful presence in the middle. Everton couldn;t bully us the way they did arsenal a few days earlier..mainly cos of Alfred. Could go on to be a bit of a legend..seems to have a great attitude as well

He looks like the kind of player who will be better the more physically fit he is.

Yaya Toure and Patrick Viera are/were athletes...that's how to get the best out of Alf.

Get him super fit and let him chase the ball all day - and/or man mark the big fuckers such as Felani and stop them from playing!

He's been exceptional in his two last games, IMO.

Can you imagine how many bumped threads there would have been on quinnys first few games :lol:
