Alfie not wanted

In the few games we saw of him last season I thought that he was certainly a big physical lad, which we're lacking in midfield, and covered a lot of ground but didn't seem as comfortable on the ball as Poyet would want, so not surprised to see him go.
Who in our midfield is/was?

Yet Altidore is kept at the SOL!!

I see the over exaggeration of other posters opinion on him has started.

If Lee Cattermole can play in a Poyet team see no reason why Alfie cant.

Would have liked to give him another go, but seemingly now just hoping we get a decent wedge for him.

Lee Cattermole is a thousand times more of a footballer than Alfie mate. It's not even remotely close when it comes to their grasp of the basics.

Thought Gus would have at least had a look at him over pre-season but if he's not what Gus is looking for then best for both parties if he moves on. Fingers crossed we get a decent fee for him.

It was more a dig at those saying he wont fit into Poyets team, like they have had a personal one to one with Poyet and know exactyl what he wants.

in no way am I comparing Alfie to catts like

Probably none on the level that Poyet wants I'd guess, but this season I'd say Ki and Colback have probably looked the most comfortable on the ball in midfield. Cattermole too at times when he's not self-sabotaging games.

A lot of people on here writing him off (again...) after he only had a few games for us in a team that was playing UTTER shite. Not only that but he was head and tails above anyone else on the park in the games he played.

Probably the same dipshits that wrote Yaya Toure off after a few games (and some still did after he had a few seasons..).

As said above, if Catts, O'Shea and the like can "get in a Poyet team" then why can this fella not? He isn't anywhere near as bad as some are trying to make out when on the ball and he hasn't been tried in the team where players all look for the ball and move into space.

Would at least like Gus to give him a f***ing try. Wickham would have been out of the door also had our strikers not been as misfiring, or injured, as they have been. And again some on here would have loved that.

Why do our black fans get so much more stick by some sections who just want them to fail and be out of the team? Are the media actually right and we do have a big following who are backwards as fuck still up here? fishy fishy

The fans don't pick the team mate. If the player is good enough then SAFC fans will adore them no matter what the colour of their skin. Look how popular Roly Gregoire, Jeff Whitley and Gary Bennett were.

To be fair marra most of my posts are a little tongue in cheek.

But he can't be that good if Gus is wanting to peddle him without Alfie even playing a game for him.

There has to be a reason why he's been shipped out and then not wanted two windows in a row

Famous quote which should be taken heed of by his admirers on here

"Those who cannot learn from history are doomed to repeat it"

He was awful in his PL appearances. Shall we do it all over again?

Spot on mate. Player looks like he's leaving, all of a sudden he's shite. Player wants to stay and is in the managers plans all of a sudden he's class. Standard reaction from some bells on here.
