Alexandre Mendy (transfer rumour)


Without wanting to wade into the arguments can I just ask those who defend “the club” at all times, are you actually defending the club or those who are the current stewards of it?

Personally, I couldn’t care less who is in charge as they are transient, the club is us and always will be. All I want it the best chance to get 3 points on Saturdays. They wrote off half a season last season and have gone into this one again without a first team striker. For me, that is failing to give the manager the tools for the job and in no way giving us the best chance of results .

I don’t know why people continue to defend this. I may be called a “bedwetter”’or whatever but, as I say, I only care about SAFC having the best chance to win games. Surely that’s what we all want?

KLD & go probably promised the manager new coaching staff & other things and went back on their word that’s the way I see it

RLB comes across quite well... strikes me as a bit of a thinker. I'd be interested on what premise and what assurances were made to him .. still early days for him ...even Mowbray was allowed to bring in an assistant. Looks like he's stuck with dodds.

your point about us needing to being bought out and not being able to attain this limit ambition makes me want to respond that these are not mutually inclusive...more over if kld hasn't got the resources to achieve those modest ambitions why is he here? If I'm a 26 year old billionaire...I wouldnt want to own sunderland ( many wouldn't )

The reality is ( and its not being disproved ) is were a cheap operation ... incapable of evolving on key areas. I ask red to prove that's not the case.
What is acceptable and what is not given where we are and how do we achieve our ambition of making the playoffs with what we have?

Can anybody prove we are not run on a shoestring ... can anybody further prove that not having a 1st ready striker I'd OK for over 440 days... if the current situation OK and are people genuinely happy for it to persist indefinitely ?

But we're not building atm ...last year was about regressing.. spending nowt isn't building ... it risks further stagnation.

The point still stand prove to me we are not a shoestring operation

For me, that is completely counterproductive. If you hire someone, you want the best version of them and, far more often than not, that involves them bringing their own assistant

Mine was in reply to the point regarding them being spent well. We had money to spend last summer and in January and the bloke running the show completely wasted it and had us tumbling down the league as a result
