Alexandre Mendy (transfer rumour)

I would agree with Hemir, but Mayenda has always looked very keen to impress to me.

Okay mate, it's nonsense if you say so

Will be interesting to see him this year. I have a feeling the new gaffer will prove to be clever at seeing strengths in players, he comes across as bright.

If we do have lazy sods they need away now, no point faffing about with lads who just cannot be arsed, get rid.

I genuinely think out of all of them Mayenda has the attributes. He's quick, strong, very direct and got a great left foot. I really think he's got the best chance.

Glad you brought up his actual quote.

Speakman should have gone the minute they sacked Beale. A man that in all my years supporting the club have I ever seen so many of our supporters, pundits so universally against Beale being appointed. The club didn’t want to listen (as per CF situation) they where either incompetent, ignorant, arrogant or all three in believing he was an uplift in calibre from TM.
Dave Jones at fault apparently

You can't really beat marmite on toast with Wensleydale cheese on top for a hangover fix, and you don't even need to go out to line the coffers of a multinational UPF provider to do it.

Now, for the angry kids and to keep things topical ...

That, Speakman, is what planning is all about, you know what's going to happen and you have the solution ready for when it does ... no rushing out to try and fix the problem reliant on the whim of others (McDonald's refusing to serve you breakfast after a certain time for example, or a mouse in the KFC batter).

Probably worth remembering it's Scottish football mind. Amad only made 13 appearances and Rangers fans widely regarded him as not good enough. Wouldn't put a lot of stock in a young kid seemingly not doing well out on loan.
And yet some on here are happy for him to start as our best striker option against Cardiff, absolute madness.

The majority of fans including me were impressed with the momentum we had created from stewart and other signings early doors with the new regime. Then the last 18 months happened and all momentum lost, got a squad full of useless players, wasting money on shite again and at a massive cross roads because if we balls up again we'll probablys be fighting to finish 4th bottom whereas if we'd recruited well last season we'd of had a shot at promotion. Imagine having fans wanting to get promoted eh....

What makes you think he’s better going forward?
Watching him. He's very good at carrying the ball forward, he's always available to link up the flanks when we're attacking, he chips in with goals and assists. He's got the legs to comfortably get up and down the pitch. He should be the player picking the ball up from the cdm and pushing us forward, not wasting his talents by forcing him into a position that doesn't utilise his strengths

What makes you think he’s better going forward?
If you watched us last season you would see why, and it was playing further forward rather than playing as a dcm. I'm still struggling with your Dave Jones comment, I've read some drivel on here but mate that is right up there with the worst
Out of the options at the club now I would 100% be starting him at Cardiff.
And that is why Speakman should be shot with shit that it has come to this, especially after last season.

Dave Jones and Beale are friends. Dave Jones was the one who suggested his name that’s true.

Speakman’s quote shows he was then impressed by Beale. Worth nothing Beale is also regarded in the footballing world as a good trainer or coach. I remember players who played under him and Gerrard saying most of the good work was done by Beale. It’s hardly unreasonable for him to think he looked good on the training pitch etc. They just didn’t think logically with his attitude and the way he’s received by fans

Dan Neil is good at picking out passes breaking up play when under pressure. Think he works best as a deep playmaker personally. Not the fastest ball carrier or the most technical dribbler I’d rather the likes of rigg and AA do that. All opinions

You just don't get it do you, Beale was an absolute disaster, remember this is the bloke who had a burner account slagging off the fans, the players and the owners. You said Jones was responsible for Beale, nothing to do with Speakman or the owners. If Beale was such a good catch, then why is he still unemployed, there have been plenty of opportunities for one of the best coaches in the game

Where did I say Beale wasn’t a disaster? He’s not good enough to be the main man due to his demeanour etc. but as an assistant he was received well. And is supposed to be a good coach / trainer. Not a head coach. They got it wrong. I never said it was nothing to with Speakman either I just said it was suggested and pushed by Dave jones. Beale interviews well that’s been documented before
