Receiving about £40m in transfer fees helps mind.Think it just shows the level of ambition between a club that I would have put in the same bracket as us before last seasons numerous f#ck ups.
they lost their best player ths summer...they do recruit well but something is going on behind the scenes are mark robins long tie assistant was sackedThink it just shows the level of ambition between a club that I would have put in the same bracket as us before last seasons numerous f#ck ups.
Does it though? They’ve also lost their best players in that time frame to fund the signings they’ve made and lost O’Hare on a free this window.Think it just shows the level of ambition between a club that I would have put in the same bracket as us before last seasons numerous f#ck ups.
Or, and this is a big or, they simply reinvested some of the money they got from hamer and gyokeres (£34m) to buy some decent strikers?Think it just shows the level of ambition between a club that I would have put in the same bracket as us before last seasons numerous f#ck ups.
They've done almost exactly what we're trying to do. Gyokores and Hamer were nobodies when they went there, and Coventry were new to the Championship, but they developed them and challenged. They didn't go up so they had to sell, but now they're using that money to make sure they can compete every season.Does it though? They’ve also lost their best players in that time frame to fund the signings they’ve made and lost O’Hare on a free this window.
Coventry have been able to make the signings they have due to big sales. All it really highlights is the difference a big sale can make to a clubs ability to spend in this league.

It’s no bonkers mate, I’m sure I’ll miss it if he actually signs amongst all the attention seekingAye I know, I think everybody agrees we need a centre forward but the conspiracy theorist types are mental.
A was in a gym years ago at team valley he came in and seemed owa the moon i recognised him. Had a good bit craic with him. Turned out he owned the gym. Maybe hes still owning gymsWhat's Dave Buchanan doing these days?

So what is your point? I used the phrase strikers too? You just post for reactions, I notice your Irritable Vowel Syndrome has kicked in again.yes i used the word striker as its often used..as a general, or imprecise term for a player that plas in the firward positions...if i had said: "we have spent millions on centre forwards" that wouldnt be true..because thats a very soecific position and SAFC dont have a player in those positions
my point ois the club spent millions on strikers...but not on centre forwards..despite the lies on here..So what is your point? I used the phrase strikers too? You just post for reactions, I notice your Irritable Vowel Syndrome has kicked in again.

Why do uninformed people criticise Speakman? We have had two other Directors of Football who got almost virtually no criticism.Us it any different to the handling of the others? Hemir, pembele, Ba? None ready for championship yet thrown in the deep end and subject to constant criticism. Same for loaning burstow, jobe to a large degree, rusyn aswell.
Our strategy hasnt had very much thought put into it since we left league 1. Speakman @Birtley Lad aint As clever as he thinks he is.
The amount of dosh spunked on hit and hopes has been silly. Could have bought 3 or 4 proper 1st teamers for money wasted.

i answreed the qwill grigg did in a different post to you..agreeing with your viewpoint. And you point has nothing to do with what I posted, when people use Will Grigg as a reason why we shouldnt be over spending on strikers.
What lies and by who? Because you have form for that.
?i answreed the qwill grigg did in a different post to you..agreeing with your viewpoint.
the lie on here is that SAFC havent signed a striker for 18 months..
they have spent millions on strikers..
just not on centre forwards..its not even controversial as a statement
I hadn’t realised this was the deal with Burstow.
How many minutes per game did we have to play him to avoid the 100% wages?
not stir the pot..stir the debate..
ive also said on here there is no such position on a football pitch as "striker"
there are centre forwards and forwards.no.9s and no.10s...
so if someone uses a term as imprecise as "striker" they must expect a pedantic reply..
Most people say we haven’t spent it on a striker, I don’t recall too many specifying a centre forward.i answreed the qwill grigg did in a different post to you..agreeing with your viewpoint.
