Alexandre Mendy (transfer rumour)

It's always harder to adapt as a technical player like Maja than a physical one like Mendy. He'll be strong and direct no matter what league he goes too, Maja might not have the quaity to adapt to the championship

They'll ask for less now Bordeaux have folded, they had a sell on clause aparrently
maja has now made 44 championship appearances and scored three goals..
rusyn has made 21 appearances and scored two goals..
they were born in the same year...

Have they folded? They've just gone amateur, no? So the income would still come in I would have thought.
thats a good point..obviously the playing contracts of their players are cancelled because they are violating them by not paying them..
to your point though..if the business/company that operates bordeaux has gone bust to rid itself of debts..the amateur team may start with a new company which has no claim to the assets, such as sell on cluases, of the previous business.
Was it not 4M we paid for Grigg?
3 million down and 1 million if certain targets were hit..
as hitting targets was not griggs speciality while at SAFC i think we can assume not all of the £1mn extra was paid out :)

Maja was never going to maintain that l1 form he had with us like, felt like everything he touched went in!

I think he was. His finishing when given time at all is ridiculous. But he doesn't have ability to do the same under pressure. He'd score a silly amount in league 1 if he wanted to again as he's simply too good technically not to. Once defenders start to be able to read a game similarly he struggles

Where have you got the £20m figure from?
The club finances.
Hjelde wasn't needed.

I'm not saying he's not going to turn out to be a good signing, I've no idea, but he wasn't needed. When we signed him we had accepted not getting automatic promotion. At that point we have an exciting u21 team, most of whom are actually u18 level players or just over that due to, as you say, the previous regime gutting our academy.

The left back of that team is one of the most promising players. There was nothing stopping us giving him a chance. Especially when we also signed Styles who was capable of playing there as well.
Maybe, just maybe, the professionals that are in charge of their development and the management of the first team disagreed with you there? Just a thought....
We didn't need players for the future last January. They'll still be on the bench this season too! They weren't needed at all. What was needed was a striker, which they didn't bother to get.
We always need players for the future. Saying they "didn't bother to get" a striker shows you have the mentality of a child.

Try living in the real world.

This board is full of fantasists and its beyond tiring.
