what does the year have to do with it? This turning our nose up at a striker who has scored 60 in the last 3 seasons regardless of league and ligue 2 isn't as bad as people make out is insane to me

That’s exactly 2 seasons worth of appearances in The Championship, start or sub.

That’s 7 goals a season. (In the top flight in France).

I'd be interested to know, how many strikers in the English Championship scored more than seven goals. I think the answer might be a bit surprising. I would guess that it is less than 20.

And the French first division is surely ahead of, if not level with The English Championship.

Whey because 4 years is a long time ago in sport. He was 25 then and is now 30.

Aye in a lower league. I’m not saying he will be a faliure but it isn’t anything to get excited about. Hopefully he will do the business for us.
 
What type of striker are people expecting? His record is good and he is in his prime. It’s exactly what we have been crying out for. Strikers are expensive and this guy could potentially be a bargain and a very good find.
