Sure. He's had some good recent seasons. But look before that and his record is very poor.
Factoring in his age and the country switch too... I don't see him being a striking saviour. Though hope to be proven wrong

Signing strikers just after their good goalscoring seasons is usually a good idea, it's also his entire playstyle that is impressive too not just the scoring, his hold up play, his ability to be a focal point, his movement it's all good.

The natural instincts are there which aren't there in all of our CF's.

just needs one to go in early and he will be flying

I think if you are only going to be happy with a striker that will definitely score 30 goals a season you are going to be very disappointed indeed. For the rest of your football supporting life.
