He might not score for us if he signs like, as no-one is guaranteed goals but that'll be down the way we play rather than Ligue 2 to the Championship being too big of a step up. There's some proper dross in our division.

Makes you wonder why we weren't looking in similar places before now, not just top scorers in Ligue 2 but Bundesliga 2, Serie B, especially with the prices of strikers here.

I agree but I also think the Rusyn signing is evidence that we do (2nd top scorer in ukraine two seasons ago, number one is in la liga now)- but I wonder if it's just that not many players end up fitting our parametres- Bundesliga 2's top scorer Glatzel is 30, has already failed/been pretty mediocre in the championship with Cardiff- 2nd is also 30- 3rd is 22 but was on loan- and 4th has already been signed by a US club. Serie B, none of the top ten are under 25. Though I think we should go for the 19th top scorer Fabio Borini.

The age thing shouldn't matter but if we arent going to pay transfer fees for players over 25 then that's how it is.
I would think that considering we've brought players in from portuguese, french, german, costa rican, belgian, dutch and australian league systems, we have a pretty wide net.

the player in the thread title is over 25 and would cost a fee..

Some proper dross in our division,let's be honest Safc have signed loads over the years .Moyes signed a load of them alone in the Prem !🤣
 
Does anyone know what the standard is in that league? Would it be closer to the championship or league 1?

Either way probably worth a punt at the price suggested
