I’m not sure it will depending on your definition of nasty.

I feel for RLB as it looks very much like he’s being hung out to dry as much as Mowbray and Beale were.

Apathy seems to be the overriding emotion now when people are disgruntled.

We aren’t the pitchfork types and people will just not bother going, leave early or sit in silence watching the inevitable unfold.

Still time for them to set us up for a decent season with some shrewd additions in the last 20 days of the window but based on the last few windows it’s got a horrible deja vu feeling to it all.

Yeah as many love turning nasty, some seem to revel in it more than when we're doing well. A ball hasn't even been kicked and some are already having a meltdown.

It depends what you mean by aren't the pitchfork types? Whilst we rarely if ever protest, there are a lot of our fans who are quick to get disgruntled by a misplaced pass, love a scapegoat and boo at half time etc.

It's not shite at all.

Fans want us to win first and foremost no doubt but then there's an element who love to moan on and complain if we lose, sometimes even when we win it's not good enough "papering over the cracks" etc. it gives them their angry dopamine fix.

Always been the way that though. I’ve been going since the mid 70’s and that’s never changed. The crowd will let players know if they don’t think they’re putting the effort in.

Scapegoated players can turn it around too. Players like Danny Collins and John Oster for example were both widely criticised initially but won fans over. There’s plenty more examples too.
