This has been going on for ages, the lack of striker options since Stewart got injured and Simms went back is damming. Again looks like Speakman has doubled down on one player, again what happened to this laser focused recruitment and planning for the transfer window?

Yeah you constantly giving it the super fan. They have always tried to sign strikers. They signed 4 last season. The problem is any time they try to sign a competent one it never happens.

Ok so let's say Mendy is no. 1 target. Are you saying the club should move away from the deal because its taking longer than there want, rather than be patient and get their man?

By the way whilst I’m at it, the fact that the club played down any suggestions of this deal being close suggests he has never been a main target anyway and it more than likely is agent talk from his side.

Unfortunately for the likes of Speakman, there has already been recent form on waiting for their alleged preferred candidate only for a deal to "fall through" at the last minute.
