If Ipswich want Clarke can we have Broadhead back as part of the deal? Be very happy starting the season with him and amends on board.
 
Why are people going on like we have no strikers at the club? I was less than impressed with Rusyn and Hemir but you can’t just write them off completely they’re kids man. Many players kick on in their second season. Not to mention Mayenda has looked impressive in preseason to me and I thought he was unlucky to be sent on loan last season to be left with what we were. Clean slate for all of them for me like. We clearly need a more experienced forward for sure but the others can’t just be written off for me

Rusyn isn't a kid, he's 25 (26 in October). Hopefully he will kick but honestly can't see that great an improvement on the cards.

The fact they are kids is the reason why people are desperate for others to come in.

None of who we have are good enough to start the season which is why we need at least 2 more experienced strikers before the season starts. Then 2 of the 3 mentioned can go out on loan and get some experience under their belts in a lower league.

Tbh, none of those should have been bought to lead the line last season. Giving the No.9 shirt to Hemir man 😆 No wonder Tony was seething! Then there's Speakman who says Rusyn is a striker, yet he's looked more like a wide foward. The fact is none of those lads were ready to start for a club that had been looking to challenge for the playoffs and it showed.

Will these lads be better this season after settling down? I'm not sure. I think Rusyn will be the one out of those who may kick on a bit. I'd still be tempted to loan Hemir and Mayenda out for first team football, maybe at league one/two level so they get games and aren't sat on the bench.

The club need to do better if they are serious about climbing the ladder.

Yes. This place has created a myth that Stewart was a Johnson signing after an interview where he said he’d been recommended to him before.

He actually said Stewart’s name had been brought up in a recruitment meeting using the data and he was happy to go ahead with it having been previously recommended him.

I agree that none were ready to lead the line. 100%. I think Mayenda particularly has shown the most natural ability and definitely see a player in him and would like to see him get a chance. We obviously need a striker who’s ready for that role now.

Speakman would’ve only been here a month or so before Stewart so must’ve been shit hot with the data

I’d imagine the data itself is pretty simple to extract tbf so probably takes minutes to get a list of names that hit certain data points.
The issue comes with finding the right players from there though. Once you have a list names, they’re still scouted etc.

Still think we need two tbh. Rusyn may be relied on as a 3rd striker or out wide.

I don't really take much from pre season games, they can be misleading at best, and are there for fitness mostly. Mayenda does look to have some ability, but (along with Hemir) they need a run of games to build up some consistency which I doubt they'll get here.
