Alexandre Mendy (transfer rumour)


Not really sure how i feel about this. Yes its very disappointing we haven't signed a proven goal scoring centre forward as yet but as some point out still 2 weeks to go. Even if we have or are about to get him i am not sure he is up to the standard we require to challenge top 6. But that's just my opinion, he might be class in the championship.
 
I think it's clear as day what is happening.
We have made an offer to Caen. If they accept now, they will have to pass on a % to Bordeaux.
Bordeaux have released all their pros having been demoted to the semi-professional 3rd tier.
Next week they are up in court and will probably be declared bankrupt, be wound up, dead and buried, at which time Caen will probably formally accept our offer as they can then keep it all.

Caen are like the slightly richer passengers on the Titanic refusing space on the lifeboat for the doomed paupers Bordeaux, while we, like the Titanic crew, turn a blind eye and leave Bordeaux to their fate.

Deal was made - the fact they might declare bankruptcy makes no difference - money is owed to creditors even if they only get a small % after everyone is paid out.

So your saying Caen is Rose floating on the wood with plenty of room to spare but leave Bordeaux/Jack(Di crapio) floating in the middle of the below freezing Atlantic Ocean until they kick it... Celine hopes Mendy's heart will go on:)

I’d guess there’d be still some liability to pay whoever is representing Bordeaux for many years now & that money will filter through to a list of people they owe.

We won’t be challenging for top 6 I don’t expect us to be even in the top 10, nothing has changed playing wise apart from maybe Browne and signing a DM doesn’t fill me with any optimism,if we’d signed 2 strikers I might have a bit

Take it this your first transfer window? In between a major international tournament which all the best players play for the best clubs, and nothing begins until they start turning the cogs, then it begins to filter down and decisions begin to be made.. some folk literally just seem to bizarrely believe you just get West Ham on the blower ask the shelf price of a player and bank transfer the moolar and he just hops in his motor and starts just playing for Sunderland. There’s absolutely millions of I’s to dot and T’s to cross, and even more so in this era of the agent.

Everyday Clarke is still here is worth more than any striker mate. About time people start appreciating the retention.
