all of you bemoaning the fact that it is another loan and not the way forward need to understand things have changed on the scouting front. Have you all forgotten that in a recent interview it was stated that we were working on January's targets already. Give them a chance, they've tried, unlike previous regimes, so how about cutting them some slack instead of pissing yourselves. They are looking all over the continent not incontinence

Considering they had a matter of weeks to draw up the list of targets, its astonishing what has been achieved. Imagine what they can do if they're given a whole season. Loaning a couple of prem ready players is a shrewd move to be quite honest.

So they did all of that and didn't get a permanent left back or creative central midfielder in? They even sent one back to Turkey where De Fanti got him from in the first place.

Let me just clarify this - what you're saying indicates to me that you expected all of our problems, of which there were many, to be sorted in one transfer window. Is that right? Left back, right back, centre half plus cover, central midfield plus cover, wingers and forwards, all desperately needed in the one window, and you're grumping because with three days to go we're two or three short?

Would it have been better under 'Danny Graham or I'm in the huff' man? How would you gone about this window's business? What would have made you happy, other than reappointing Mon?

So not weaker then? Back to where we were but having had the benefit of a better player for a year? Doesn't sound worse off by any dictionary definition I know.
aye. with the parent club being stronger for it, hence square one becomes further back. so... really, even being pedantic, im right.[DOUBLEPOST=1377942899][/DOUBLEPOST]
Please GOD YES!!!
he's already agreed a deal with a turkish club.

Well he was the last manager and I recall reading that this sort of thing would be a thing of the past.

My shrine says Sunderland
Our recruitment system is way beyond what we had last season. Its undeniable. MON would have flounced off on the spot if he'd had his two main LB targets fall through at the 11th hour. Actually MON wouldn't have had two targets.

I reckon the loans are a last resort. We've tried to sign the targets and for one reason or another, have failed. The loans should be a stop gap and we can try again next summer
The good old Sunderland way.

Pepe is fuming still banging on about O'Neill :lol::lol: bet you're in tears anarl.[DOUBLEPOST=1377936396][/DOUBLEPOST]
Don't think we have the finance to do what we want if I'm honest. Not much has been spent net and we've had to use what little we have spent on turning over the squad.

There is only so much you can do when you have a certain budget and x amount of problems. This year is a transition year before we go again next summer, I've said it since may

I don't think there is a shortage of capital resources, the problem that is still being addressed is for SAFC to move towards the requirement to reduce the revenue spend (the wages bill) to a certain percentage (66% ?) of the club's turnover.

Stephen Warnock or nobody.

Your aren't right. If Baines signs for United Butner will still be only second choice even if Evra moves away. You had no point now you are struggling for a pedantic point. A few weeks is all the new team had to draw up targets and try and bring them in. If we have to use a few loans to see us through to the next window then so be it. Its not like we have had all crap loans is it?

don't talk f***ing daft, man. im saying what most fans say, just some dare not voice their opinion on here cos they want to be liked.
. You dare to voice an opinion when no one else does? You may have forgot about white van man, when you shit yourself but we haven't. It isn't about having the bollocks to speak about the club in a negative way, you just don't know any other way
Christ stevie no bollocks thinking he's better than everyone else. I realise now that you will get the arse and post some rolly eyed random shite, but there you go, you made your bed, you pissed it, you lie in it

Absentee O'Neills people signed N'Diaye you pratt

Edit - & the new regime had just 6 weeks to work with. Absentee O' Neill & his people had been in for over a year & had 2 transfer windows but still only managed to find 1 left back. It would have taken them 6 years to make the number of signings we have this summer.

I think you will find that De Fanti has been the de facto DoF for a lot longer than you realise, twat.

Any criticism, or actually not even that, just a reasonable question on the business, Di Canio, the DoF, the scouts and people go on like you have insulted their mother.

The same people were wetting themselves senseless over loans last year, now it is ok because the new regime will find us somebody in the next 4 months, ignoring that they have had 3 months (longer) to sort out 2 key positions already.

Not what most fans say at all. There's the ultra-negative "club can do nothing right" people like you at 1 end of the spectrum & the happy clappy "blindly agree with the club no matter what" types at the other but most fans are somewhere in between.
