Happy days! Bob Wilson for the serious stuff then those 2 for a bit banter.
Grandstand and World of Sport with Dickie Davies.... If not at the match.. Radio Newcastle with George Bayley and only 3 visit to reporter each half and metro radio.... Can't remember presenters name....? Charles Harrison

I don't think she's much better than the majority of TV pundits, in that they are all mostly shit and add nothing of value.

Although being a presenter is actually a different job. Dave Jones is a presenter not a pundit, Dan Walker is a presenter and not a pundit. I've no idea how well Scott will do as a presenter but she seems to be very comfortable in front of the camera so I'd imagine it won't be a bad choice.

I think she’s ok..I mean she’s no worse than any of the male pundits sitting there stating the obvious..I never felt she had the insight of Shearer or Ian Wright..all about opinions..tell you who’s very good on Sky sports..he’s only done co commentating up to now but when I’ve heard him he’s been superb..Efan Ekoku.
Insight of Shearer or Wright !!!!...you mean the bit where either one says "He done good" ..FFS

I think she will make a good anchor. Warming up to replace Lineker on MOTD in future.
Garth Crooks would have made a much better anchor, but Alex will do a great job.
I like Crooks as a pundit . Much better than he used to be

Find it weird how strong people's opinions are about football pundits  for the most part they're there for a bit crack in between matches to keep the viewer watching. That's why they generally get someone on who played or managed one of the teams involved. They aren't really meant to be offering you detailed insight. I'm not sure you can break down something with great insight when you've got three minutes, ad break, two minutes and then back to the match.
This is it like, and it's why so many pundits rely on shit like "You've got to show passion!". They don't have the time to explain why that particular pressing trap didn't work against that opposition. And a lot of casual viewers wouldn't give a monkeys anyway.

That said, it boils my piss when they don't bother their arse at all and just vomit out some cliché like "Oh Arsenal, they just try to walk it in, don't they?" or "These fans want to see football played the West Ham way".
