Alex Pritchard tests positive for covid...

I think Pritchard will have the fitness but not the match fitness and sharpness and Embleton surely he’s been very good and sends out the wrong message if dropped. Hopefully that’s the case as Embleton is good at set pieces too

I think O’Brien is a poor player but it’s evident that when he didn’t play the link between the midfield and Wyke got lost

And yet the team and Wyke scored more when he wasn't on the pitch. Utter tosh O'Brien had any sort of positive influence on the team. He was very rarely involved in anything when he played.

Have to say, bit concerned about Pritchard. COVID, heart murmurs and gastroenteritis in his first few weeks at the club hasn’t been the best start for him 😂.

Evans and Doyle look great additions but I’m nowhere near as confident about the impact Pritchard will make..

That's all just really bad luck mind in my opinion. There's nothing there to suggest issues for the future (unless he has long covid or the heart thing is more serious than I understand it). If it was hamstrings going meaning he hasn't trained yet then that would be different.

He surely didn’t have gastroenteritis which is a positive. He was at the game and in the changing rooms on Friday

Think Covid and heart murmer linked. They have to be ultra careful. More than likely the "normal" folk get this murmer thing but dont get the medical these get.

Video v Hull showed him going into changing rooms so doubt he had Tom tits , unless hes got no bog in his house.

Pre Johnson and early on Obrien being there seemed to help Wyke, but we couldn't ever get the balance right and he didn't do enough apart from being an extra body up there.

Second half of the season then Obrien or even the inclusion of a player behind Wyke was generally a wast of time and led to us being too open centrally IMO.

The reports I saw said it was him, Johnson and Wright and that it was the reason he didn't get the scheduled minutes in the Hull game. May be that he was over it enough to not be considered contagious but what it took out of him (weight loss/dehydration) or the lost training time put paid to his involvement. O'Nien and Embleton were apparently effected too but were obviously playing.

Ah right. I’d presumed it was something that had just came onto the group
