Alex Neil

I don’t think anyone with an ounce of maturity about them blames him for moving:
a/ For a better wage.
b/ To be closer to home.
c/ For a longer contact.
They’re perfectly entitled however to slag him for the way he did it and the to do concerning the job parameters whicy he knew when signing. I believe he knew he wasn’t here long term but saw the team was underachieving and believed he could get a quick promotion on his CV.

Other than winning promotion from it and taking Preston within touching distance of the play offs on a shoe string budget. Seems a decent championship manager to me.

You didn't answer my question yesterday, which isn't unusual for you, but do you know Tony Coton personally?
ive never met tony coton..
neil did ok at preston but not much better than they guy who is manager there now surely?

He's certainly picked them up it seems. He crushed us, although the result was flattering, but he also slaughtered Coventry. He needs time.

Their fans do seem to change like the wind though and after going on a fantastic run of form, the wheels seem to have come off slightly.
Their fantastic run of form was 3 wins in 5 games.

They were top 3 in the form table over 10 games the last time I checked a few games back.
And that will be the few games they have lost since then …he’s a good manager but better than TM -time will tell -I know from a person to be respected point of view who I prefer

Good players make good teams, managers can effect how they play as a team. I don't know too much about Stoke's squad but I assume we have better players

if you are right then football managers are wildly over paid.
Why would you assume stoke have worse players than SAFC?
They spent more

I think stoke will spend a few quid in the summer so be interested to see how his ultra experienced squad that he craved gets on.

there have certainly been seasons where SAFC have had better players than other teams and accumulated fewer points...because we were managed badly.
Right but you asked why would it be assumed we have better players than Stoke.

If you asked 10 people to look at the league table I'd bet they'd all think we were better than Stoke.

That's why it's assumed. Is it really that hard for you to understand that?
