Alex Neil signed improved terms 4 weeks ago

Anyone who thinks Neil left to go to a club that are heavily restricted with what they can do in the transfer market because he wasn’t getting his own way with transfers here has a screw loose imho.

It’s for more money. We offered a third (!) improvement in his terms since he first signed his contract, and he’s gone to Stoke for more money (or, perhaps the same wage with a better geographical location for him personally etc)

The timing of it all means he's an absolute twat like. I get he's always wanted to be nearer his family, more money bla bla bla but that's a proper ***** trick the day before a big game. Could've waited until Monday at least. Hope it ends badly for him and Stoke.

The way he conducted himself was abysmal. All this for Stoke

He could have kept his counsel for a day but instead was more than happy to be front and centre at Stoke's game.

He's an utter c unt man and not worthy of SAFC
I was pissed off initially but it's quite laughable him f***ing off the day before a big game and leaving his backroom staff in charge whilst the club don't seem to know what's going on. He's hardly Klopp like, he's done well for us but don't think he's warranted fannying us and the fans about in this manner.

I'm not really sure how that's relevant to this situation like, but ok
You said “You wouldn't reject a pay rise just because you'd ideally like a bigger one would you?”, when in fact half the country are at the minute. Football is no different, they turn down deals all the time in the hope of a bigger one.

Exactly.. what’s going on with all the strikes.
If the wages are true .. how on earth can anyone blame him. 4 times his salary

I would imagine that's because they have collective bargaining in place via a powerful union - so I'd say aye, football management is very different.

But even within unionised industries, pay offers are accepted on pragmatic grounds without strikes...
