Alex Neil signed improved terms 4 weeks ago

Apparently there are a lot of truths going to come out , but to me there's not one of them straight in bed

What players did he want?

Leeds and Brentford used a similar model. I think Fulham and Forest use a similar model. We were crying out about not copy the "Udinese model" or the "Dortmund model" but this is it. KLD grew up in the culture of French which is about developing young players and sell them and reinvest.

Just for the record, Neil has the same amount of promotion as Tony Mowbray.

He wanted players who have subsequently gone to Boro and Burnley.

Was it a case of us not wanting them or them choosing Burnley and Middlesbrough. We were in for Hoppe who decided to go to Boro and Twine who went to Burnley.
Why are we increasing terms and leaving in a clause meaning he can leave? Must have had an inkling he wasn’t that happy.
He had the same contracts at Hamilton, Norwich and Preston.

Speakman might be lying, but I'm skeptical he would lie so openly on national TV

So assuming it's true
Neil signed an improved contract 4 weeks ago but insisted the approach clause remained, heplayed us against Stoke to get a big fat contract
Not about the transfer policy
Not about the DoF model
Not about being closer to his family

Just about cold hard cash

Initially and then signed long term extensions. He didn’t do that here but don’t know why.

He wasn't backed...

We signed Clarke and Roberts, 2 good players from last season. Ballard and the excellent Simms on loan.

Neil has shat on us for f***ing Stoke! He should have moved his family up here during the close season.

It's easy to say he wasn't backed, but you can't magic good players out of thin air who want to come here.

I said when Alex Neil was appointed, he was the right choice. I said, if anyone whom we can attract can get us up he can. 'No nonsense Scotsman, 'knows the game inside out. I also said that in the event he doesn't get the opportunity to have the say on which players come in and build his team, then he will be gone by Christmas.

But, it wasn't all a one way street. We gave him an opportunity when he was struggling for work and he's never been at a club as a big as SAFC and so he should have been grateful for that.

In the event it was to do with family, then I can understand that and pretty much everyone else would do exactly the same.

In the event it was about money, then he's a monumental bell end.

In the event he felt he wasn't backed, then it didn't matter that much when nobody else gave him the opportunity a couple of years back.

Family: I understand, we'd all do the same. Anything else, tit.

He probably wanted proven quality in defence as well as midfield and instead gets unproven Costa Ricans and players from PSGs reserves

I don't blame him for moving on
