I think you are one of only 40000plus fans who actually believed the team under Johnson at the end had the remotest chance of going up automatically. Also what’s happening here is the more genuine arguments people put forward you are now bunkering down with more ridiculous views. Describing losing 6-0 to Bolton as a ‘massive surprise’ after earlier hammerings when Johnson has had these players all season then in the same breath describing a 2-1 defeat at home to MKdons as ‘a disgrace’ when the manager has just arrived. Thise comments alone show where you are coming from really. I’m all for independent thought but from the early stages of these arguments you have lost the ability to argue rationally.
If you think everyone had turned against Johnson then you’re just simply wrong. The home crowd never did. Even at Bolton things didn’t get nasty and it was a surprise to see him sacked. I’ve never said losing to someone 4/5/6 is anything other than a disgrace. It was a surprise that not many people saw coming given how we’d played the previous two months. Previous hammerings, whilst equally unacceptable had different circumstances. At pompey we were naive in the conditions, Rotherham it was 2-1 until McGeady was sent off and Sheffield Wednesday we were poor but 3-0 probably flattered them. That’s no excuse but it was a massive shock when we got done for 6 at Bolton, which was totally Lee Johnson’s fault by the way.

What is a ridiculous opinion is that because the manager is new that he can’t be criticised, the MK Dons game was a disgrace. He was brought in to secure promotion this season and so far it’s been way below par, it’s as simple as that. I think the rational to say anything otherwise is accepting failure.
His other account @LittleLee has been banned.

You’ve won me over, Alex Neil failing to get into the league one play offs (his predecessor was 7 points clear of 7th when sacked) is a huge success. Give the guy a 5 year deal and build him a statue.

How many f***ing times man, we'd played 3-4 games more than everyone else, that's why we were third and 7pts clear of 7th place.

Love it we lose 18 goals to one in 4 games and it’s ‘a surprise’ or down to ‘circumstances’ yet a 2-1 home defeat to MKDons is a disgrace when the manager had been here 2 mins with LJ’s players. Read back what you write down before pressing post reply man 😂

That's not true, we'd played 4 more games than Wigan.

Other than that there was only Sheffield Wednesday who had two games in hand on us but they were 11 points from us.

You clearly haven't read my reply.

If Neil is here in August we have to try to give him the season. If we don’t think he’s the man in the summer the next person should have the season.

Johnson should never have been sacked mid season, if we got to the end of the season and we hadn’t gone up then would have been the time. Short Termism rarely works when applied at the top of The league.
Ideally, it would have been better to have replaced LJ much sooner and then not dilly dally with his replacement. However after the 0-6 defeat by Bolton (the worst in the club’s history), mid season or not he absolutely had to go.

No we hadn’t 😂 We’d played 4 more than Wigan and 1 more than Sheff Wed who were 11pts behind and are now ahead of us if they win their game in hand. Muppet.

Lee Johnson was shit.
End of.
Possibly true. But given this manager has taken 1 more point in his 8 games than his predecessor did in his ‘relegation form’ last 8, with two fortunate home wins, hardly a glowing endorsement of him is it

Look, if you didn’t like LJ, then fine. But to then say AN is doing a ‘good job’ stinks of tank hypocrisy and double standards tbh

I was pondering whether or not accusations of rank hypocrisy and double standards would be fair but you have highlighted a quote where I haven’t even commented on Neill’s performance

there is he had a 52% win ratio with us vs neils so far 37%. People can hate johnson, and say I love him, all they want. But the fact is he hasn’t made the situation much better at all. We’ve had relatively easy games since he came in and there’s been vanishingly small signs of any progress. That may not be his fault, I think changing managers mid season is a nonsense and should be avoided unless absolutely necessary.

If he fails to get us into the play offs it will have been an abject failure on his part, apologies.
You're looking at Johnsons's overall form, rather than the horrific form towards the end of his reign which he showed no sign of being able to turn around.
Neil inherited a squad completely depleted in morale after Johnson and Dodds reigns. It was inevitable form would be poor initially.
MK Dons were absolutely gash mind, it was a disgrace we lost to them. Of course Johnson’s last games weren’t great, but sacking him did the exact opposite to giving us a chance of automatics, they actively sabotaged any chance we had of the. Whatever you think of johnson the players were clearly on board and it dented their confidence hugely when he went.

Neil hasn’t helped himself by insisting we play negative anti football which doesn’t suit us, particularly at home and is struggling to get a tune out of the leagues top scorer. My point is simple, he needs to at least get us play offs or he’ll be gone. Which will be fair enough for me.
The players were on board, what are you talking about?
I fail to see how Alex Neil has shown anything to suggest he’s any better...
1 goal conceded in 4 games very much suggests he's better given how many Johnsons's team were conceding.
