Alex Neil and Stoke have acted disgracefully

Stoke have done nothing wrong, they have shown a bit ambition by employing the best manager in the league and paying him wages to match. Neil hasn’t conducted himself well but he has moved to a more ambitious club on three times his salary, no brainier really

best manager in League:lol::lol:

So Preston managed to keep him despite Stoke wanting him but we couldn't?
It just gets worse.
I bet Preston regret that particular decision. They matched the offer from Stoke, which is what he was angling for, and he proceeded to do absolutely fuck all for them.

So they ended up paying a mid-table manager top end money and having to sack him after a terrible losing streak.

We can’t see it because he was only good here, but he has a ceiling and a reputation for great starts which don’t continue the longer he is at a club.

Exactly why he needed a quick getaway while the going was good.

“The best manager in the league” My days 🤣
He is up there, which is basically why everyone is in meltdown. I don't think Parkinson or Johnson would have caused this much fuss.
There’s a massive leap between being better than Phil Parkinson and being the best manager in the Championship ffs. If he’s so f***ing amazing then why didn’t Burnley or Watford grab a hold of him when they filled their vacancies. Or any other championship club in the past year.

We will never know what might have been with AN, good or bad.

But we will see if Stoke’s transfer embargo caused them strugglewith AN.

He has gone, exactly as his contract had the clauses to allow, so let’s just get on with it.

Ah right yeah, I forgot now that he has jumped ship we all have to think he is shit. Very good manager who I think will do very well at Stoke.

You have to be kidding or you're on a windup.

He was snuggling up to their owner in the stand ready to sign on the dotted line, while still our manager and his team were playing at SOL.

As for Stoke, Neil was approached and offers made last week when we played them. No, nothing wrong there.

His treatment of SAFC and the fans (he'll never have better) was disgraceful. I don't know how he hasn't made a grovelling apology.
If I were Speakman or KLD I'd refuse to do any transfer business with any club whilst AN is there. I know it won't happen and the cons of it but I'm a stubborn knacker.

Where did I say he’s shit, although I’ve never thought he was anything but dour and average. You said he was the best in the league, which isn’t bourn out by anything other than the fact you’re doughy eyed about finishing 5th and getting out of L1 🤷‍♂️

Stoke have done nothing wrong,
Really?

Inviting another clubs employee to come to watch them rather than managing the team he's being paid to manage.

Ok, Neil shouldn't have gone, but Stoke should have had the class and integrity not to invite him down in the first place.

His stock was extremely high after managing to get us out the league and starting this season so well, Stoke will be paying him a big wage because of that.

Never really cared about them but really hoping he fails miserably and he is given dogs abuse when he comes up here and leaves with his tail girly between his legs

If he thought he was undervalued he shouldn't have signed the f***ing contract. How many f***ing times does this have to be said???

Why though?

They offered him more money with no other obligations on his own part. Even if he asked for more years but they said no, then why not sign the deal anyway? It didn't entail any long commitment from him, it was free money, and he retained the right to seek value elsewhere.

I mean if he wanted a 5 year deal @ 20k and they offered him a 3 year deal @10k, you could understand not signing it, because 3 years is a long time, but what we offered him was a no brainer to sign even if he didn't think it was right overall.

He says in his press conference location had no influence on his decision making ..
