Alan Partridge live

Same, first time I've been to the arena for anything in about ten years.

Those queues were awful, shocked we actually made it in on time, turned up at 20 to 8 and had to join that huge queue down the left side which was the whole length of the building thought we were going to miss the start and more, then through the metal detectors then everyone being filtered through 1 doorway with a bloke scanning tickets with people all jostling to get through the single door first. Ridiculous.

It literally started as we were sitting down.
Exactly the same for us. Got through the doors when they were giving the last call to be seated on the tannoy. Was bursting for a piss and needed a beer so i had to multitask and grip a full plastic pint in my teeth while i went for a slash as there wasn't enough time to do both separately

Never understood people going to the arena to see stand up ,if your not in the first 20 rows you end up watching the big screen no matter how hard you try not to ,so wait till xmas and just buy the live dvd.
More so where his facial expressions etc are part of his appeal
Love SC but no desire to watch stuff like this live . I watched that fly on the wall doc of his tour from a while back and it wasn't my thing at all

Me and the lad enjoyed it - second half was better than the first. Unfortunately had the usual drunken woman who laughed too loud at inappropriate times all the way through sat behind me.

It wasn't absolute textbook partridge, but then you aren't really going to get that in an arena. I enjoyed it though and don't regret going at all. The bit with the sofa at the start of part 2 was class.

First time I've been to an arena gig in donkeys, and the queues for the new security standards are canny horrendous like.
It’s fecking ridiculous. I went out for cigarette about 19.50 and queues were horrendous.

From 2010-2012 he released Mid Morning Matters, I, Partridge and Places of My Life. Those 3 are up there with the very best Partridge imo.

He got a bit too daft again after that - Alpha Papa wasn't great, Scissored Isle was funny in parts but a bit naff and MMM S2 nowhere near as good as S1. And This Time was ok but a very slow burner.
Just watched it on netflix this week and i thought it was good ,nice continuation from the travelodge ,caravan, mid morning matters time line . Good performances, brilliant 1 liners

Saw him in Glasgow last month - similar to others it was a bit hit and miss, overall a 6/10

Mind my mate loved it, he was like a kid at Xmas waiting for him to come on.

Just finished watching it on Amazon Prime. So glad I managed to get rid of my tickets for the price I paid for them.

Used to like Partridge back in the day. Got rubbish after he left On The Hour.

Yes because all of his Partridge output since then has been really poor.

You can always guarantee someone on here will try to outdo everyone in the Jazz purist stakes.

Sounds like it was poor then?
Awful. I remember cringing but not laughing. It might have been better live and didn’t transfer to TV well as its a stage show but that’s maybe me finding excuses I think because he is one of my all time favourite characters.

Same.

I love partridge but couldn’t imagine this being any good.
