He gets the very best out of a limited club by playing to his teams strengths.
they are tough to play against but there’s nowt wrong with that.
there are far worse teams in this league. In fact most employ similar tactics against us.
frustrate the crowd play for fouls and make it as hard as possible for us. They aren’t much different to every team that’s played here in the last few years.

they actually looked much more composed for the first 20 mins or even most of the first half.

we haven’t been able to deal with this in the past but hopefully now we have that genuine quality that showed today and gets us through games like today.
Fair play ainsworth though he always seems to call the game quite fair.

They started today out there to shock us. Which they did successfully however we weathered the storm and we’re seemingly comfortable throughout. They didn’t get a chance to play shithouse tactics because they were down before they could but, I was impressed with them in the fust 10. They should try playing footy more often and I reckon they’ll be up there at the end of the season if they do so.

I quite like him, he's a bit unique with his 70's rocker looks but it certainly doesn't offend me and why should it, everyone knows how he sends his teams out so it's up to the opposing manager to counter that and LJ did it brilliantly yesterday, and he also has the class to compliment teams who beat him, sounds fine to me? I'm a lot less offended by his appearance than someone like Steve Evans or Bruce.

He must of clapped the 3rd goal after he'd stooped down with his face in his hands, by which time I was creased up pissing myself.

There are some proper bell end managers down here, I don't think he's one of them though. He was a fairly skillful and tenacious player, very well liked wherever he's been, the WW fans presumably worship the lad. Who knows what type of football he'd be overseeing at a club with greater resources than Wycombe.

There are some small minded people about. Just because he dresses different and does things different doesn’t mean he is a “bellend”. What he has done with Wycombe is a fantastic story. We may hate playing them but that is the best way for Wycombe to win games. If every one was the same then life would be boring. Seems nice bloke.
I was surprised seeing them line up before kick off, they're midfield looked shorter than ours, was expecting a load of giants. Thought they played well first half. I didn't like the way they told us we had to shoot towards the North Stand first half though but. ;)

He always speaks very well of Sunderland, the club and fans. Big deal he has long hair and leaves enough buttons on his shirt undone to make people feel uncomfortable, he's a character and done a cracking job at Wycombe.
I go along with this to a point….they played some good stuff and controlled the start of the game when they pushed for an opener. If they had got it we would have seen their full play book of disruption and time wasting. Thankfully Stewarts goal allowed a game of football to develop. Not impressed by the assault on Onein and their refusal to put the ball out.
it has to be said however that Ainsworth squeezes every ounce of advantage out of limited resources and I understand why their fans rate him. Enjoyed the cameo of their big old centre forward/tanker.

Only taken us 3 seasons to get used to it! We need to continue being ruthless in every game this season and not let the shithouse players, managers are appalling ref's stop us taking 3 points.

I think its the association with his team's style of play. As you say he's always complimentary of us but Wycombe are an awfully unsporting team.
They are far punching above their weight though, and have done very well to get where they are. There's a reason for that, shithousery. Very similar to the crazy gang. Well done I say, they are using what they've got very well.
