Aiden Flint (rumour mill)

i've he's an utter oil tanker with his mobility, then no thanks. we're forever done for pace, i'd like some CB's who have the ability to run. usually you find athletic people can also jump pretty well too.

He’d be a good signing now given we look weak from set pieces.

Obviously depends on the finances of the deal given he’s 32.

I also suspect it won’t happen if he’s a regular for Cardiff.
I think that was more my point. 32 years old, not exactly the usual criteria we're after. I honestly hadn't heard much about him since leaving Bristol City, where he looked a really good player. When I saw his name I'd completely forgotten he existed.

If the deal is right and he can come in and do a job in shoring up a shakey back line (especially given the skill level drops off a lot from Champ to league one and physicality is a big deal) then it makes sense.

Cardiff would surely want a bigger fee than we’d pay, though.

I don’t think he fits the profile for a player we now look to sign. He is too old for one.
I think although we are primarily concentrating on young players with potential and older players who have “lost their way”, I’m sure we are also looking for available players with the attributes our squad lacks to supplement our main strategy regardless of age.

How big a fee can a CB that old demand though? Surely can't be more than £500K?
