Aiden Flint (rumour mill)

Stoke have made him available apparently.

He looks proper shit now mind.

So did Batth, by all accounts, there.

That said, we don’t need him. A back three of Alese, Ballard, Batth is perfectly balanced and on the evidence, you have to say O’Nein is a perfectly capable centre back and this level too. Wright as cover, Cirkin can tuck in, plenty of options whatever shape we play.

Didn’t he win Stokes player of the month for November and we signed him in January?

Would still love to see Sanderson here if we could get him for a lowish fee (£1m to 1.5m ish.

Him, Ballard, Onien, Baath, Cirkin, Alese would give us great options.
Think that ship has sailed now. Van Hecke may be an option or someone we've not yet been linked with. Its rare ex players return and goes badly as many times as it goes well. Plenty players out there.

Not sure why it bothers me as I don't like pedants but it does. As common as Schwartz is/was

32 years old ? What happened to this model of buying young talent then ? And people moaning Shankland is too old at 27 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I think it's we only take over 25's on free transfers (Not read the article to see if there's a fee), and we only pay fees for under that age

Older players are brought in on frees. That's the other part of the model. However, in Flint's case, I don't see a place for him. We'll take a player like that (see Batth, Evans, Pritchard) on a free. We won't pay a fee for a player with little or no resale value.

I thought the crack was they wouldn't buy anyone that didn't have sell on potential.

Flint players for Stoke & three clubs in league one are after him he will be on decent money so Stoke might have pay he's contract up to get rid of him
