Aguero leaving City at the end of the season

Tbf I think everyone knows hes class, but it's understated just how good he is.

Exactly my point. Evidenced on this thread. People calling him a tap in merchant ffs.
He's missed 111 league games out of 372 City have played since he signed.
Obviously you can't expect him to be fit for every game, but he's only played 70% of the games.
He scores at a rate of 0.67 goals per game. If he'd played every game, scoring at that rate he'd be on 248 goals.

Would be nervous if I was Levy. Haaland possibly?

Crazy as it sounds could Salah, Werner or Dybala end up at City?

Eh? One of Haalands strengths is his pressing and work rate. Totally sets the tone for Dortmund

Between him and Henry for me
It’s more about the ability to be involved in the play in other areas of the pitch.

Haaland won’t do much more than score over and over again

it’s why Pep started with Jesus until he broke his metatarsal and was out for two months.

It’s a weird stance but it’s true. Pep doesn’t play with number 9’s and Haaland is the definition of one
Aguero improved his overall game massively since Pep took charge, and was pretty much a guaranteed starter when fit.

So I don’t buy the whole ’Pep never liked him‘ chat. he’s just looking a bit shot with injuries now and it is the right time to move on and replace him.
I didn’t say pep didn’t like him. But it’s not a secret pep doesn’t fancy him. It’s why he’s always had spells on the sideline and wasn’t A starter when pep joined.

Lots of talk here of Aguero coming to Barcelona as a way of persuading Messi to stay - he would certinly be an upgrade on Braithwaite. It wil interesting to see if City go for Haaland - Pep might consider such a signing too obvious - or will he go for Kane, who is more versatile and can operate equally as a finisher or supplier. There are also rumours of City being linked to Joao Felix from A Madrid.

Haaland £165m incoming I reckon.

Definitely make them favourites to sign him. Madrid more interested in Mbappe.

This is another interesting option. Kane could play anywhere though, any system, any club.

Haaland suits City but not, for example, Liverpool or United. If Kane is on market, everyone goes for him. Same for Haaland.
His buyout clause is only €65m

City have told him they won't be renewing his contract according to BBC
Been a fantastic player in England, even with all the injuries, must be honest I always thought when he first came he'd be here a couple of seasons then move on, shoes what I know, fuck all.

He started 25 games in the league in Guardiola's first season. Out of the the other 13 he was suspended for six of them and injured for two of them. Started 6 out of 8 Champions League games that season.

He's been first choice constantly when he's been fit for Guardiola. Could you point out the spells he's had on the sideline other than because of injuries?

Class striker. Remember them beating us 4-1 at the SoL and he was brilliant
Along with Henry and Hazard probably the best three individual performances by visiting players at the SoL, funnily enough right up there was that beast that Swansea had up front that City signed, whatever happened to him?

Lethal. Superb striker.

When Pep first arrived he looked like a fish out of water but he has been superb when fit.

Up there with the very best forwards to play in the prem.

I wouldn't be surprised if Man City try for Kane in the summer. I imagine Pep is a big fan of the way Kane brings other forward players into play, whilst bagging plenty himself.

When Jesus signed, he was the starter until he broke his metatarsal. But aguero scores so many it’s impossible to leave him out for long spells.

it’s no secret pep doesn’t prefer a traditional number 9. He’s bombed out Eto’o, Zlatan, Mandzukic, Gomez all because they weren’t the best player for the system. And that’s why I don’t think he’ll choose to sign Haaland

I'd not seen that. That'll be to try and put clubs off as he has a clause that he can leave for €75m next year. I don't think anybody will be keen to pay that amount this year tbh. Dortmund might accept less, but Haaland will have his pick of clubs at €75m next year. The player himself might just decide to wait it out.

People will buy him, because its still f***ing small change at that money compared to what he's worth. Assuming he stays fit, you've got the (soon to be) best striker in the world at an amazing, still malleable age. City may not pay that whack for him; but they'll pay top dollar this season - fear of missing out will drive the price upwards.

There isn't a hotter property on the market.

Not yet.
This could end up being as impressive as my "Ivan Toney will flop at Brentford" prediction, but - Kane wouldn't thrive at City. Not mobile enough.
Kane would thrive anywhere.

You don't need all-out gas to lead city's line; in fact you need less gas than you might reasonably say you'd need at say Man United. City monopolise ball and that drives teams back; not many play a high line against them. What City need is someone who is a genuine penalty box fox who is also intelligent enough to link play and fall into their patterns. Kane absolutely fits the bill.

Just think age and fact Guardiola likes to mould younger players will make Haaland number one target. He will think he can give Haaland everything Kane already has, plus the extra explosiveness Haaland has. Frightening.

Don't see Athleti selling Felix anytime soon.
