Surprised he’s lasted this long under Pep to be honest.

Will be interesting to see what they do. I think they’ll give the main role to Jesus with Torres being his understudy

Back to Atleti.

the most nailed on transfer in history

Haaland £165m incoming I reckon.

Definitely make them favourites to sign him. Madrid more interested in Mbappe.
Kane will be there pal.
This is another interesting option. Kane could play anywhere though, any system, any club.

Haaland suits City but not, for example, Liverpool or United. If Kane is on market, everyone goes for him. Same for Haaland.

Absolutely superb player and he actually seems like a canny lad who you could get on with going off his interviews and such.

Impossible to separate my best top 5 foreign imports as they’re equally fantastic, also very individual players but he’s in that 5 with Bergkamp, Henry, Cantona and C.Ronaldo with a special mention for RvN. Arguably the greatest Premier League moment goes to him though and SAFC although minimally, were involved. Either off to Atleti or back home to Argentina I’d imagine

Where do you get £165m from?

News last week said his pricetag is E180m, so roughly £165m.

I'd not seen that. That'll be to try and put clubs off as he has a clause that he can leave for €75m next year. I don't think anybody will be keen to pay that amount this year tbh. Dortmund might accept less, but Haaland will have his pick of clubs at €75m next year. The player himself might just decide to wait it out.

I've not really seen much of him in England. However, when he was a kid playing for Atletico his movement and touch were incredible. West Ham had a forward around the same time who impressed me and I remember thinking, the game when Andy Reid scored the very late winner, that they were very similar in their awareness and movement. The West Ham lad got injured and never played again not long after that game.
Dean Ashton the lad you're thinking of?

Yes that's him. I only saw him live that one game but I thought he had the football World at his feet.

Yeah he was absolute class, could've been as good as Kane is now. Such a shame he suffered so horrifically with injuries

Yes, I was absolutely over the moon we won and went ballistic when we scored. But my main memory of the game was Ashton. But not his name') as I can never remember it.

People comparing Henry and Aguero..Henry wasn’t the pure centre forward in the way Aguero is..bit deeper bit wider Henry..both fantastic but slightly different on the pitch.

Probably would've got close to Shearer's record if he could stay fit. Phenomenal player. A lot of people don't realise how good he is.
257 goals in 384 games for Man City.
101 goals in 234 games for Atletico Madrid.
Absolutely fantastic player.
