Did anyone know what bother there was in our end in the first half? In the corner close to their drum end

No you didn’t..150 at most..it’s on You Tube for anyone interested..escorted round the pitch past the Clockstand to the Roker End..quite an exaggeration..bit like the ‘thousands’ who came through for the Gillingham game..load of shite.
I didn't even know he was a mag, just thought he was kidding as it was such a ridiculous thing to say.
10,000 ffs
I was in the Fulwell that day in 85, I don't remember the 150 mags at all, but was probably true.
They caused trouble at Sunderland in the 70s and 80s all the time.
It was only in the early 90s it changed.
On that day, I remember a mag in front of us, he never said owt, was with about 6 of his Sunlun supporting mates, who stood around him.

The only reason we knew he was a mag was, he never celebrated when we scored, and I looked at him when they scored and he was smiling.
Nee problem with that, not making an arse of himself or anything.

We've all been in with the home fans on away days when we couldn't get tickets.

The top and bottom of it is there was a bus load of mags that came down today. They congregated at the pub on the roundabout that was also welcoming away fans in a different area.

30 mins prior to kick off the majority of sunderland fans in said pub left to head toward the ground. They were quickly followed by police officers.

As the sunderland fans crossed the roundabout the Shrewsbury/Newcastle fans ran up the other side of the road. Some sunderland fans attempted to get to them but the police were very organised and fair. Northumbria could learn a lot from them.

This is all first hand so please come say I’m talking shit.

Nowt like 150
I was at the game in the clockstand paddock
They got pelted with coins when they passed
Probably around 50 - 70

There were a lot more than 150. Have another look and you will also see them in quite a hurry to leave the Fulwell. They believe they 'took' the Fulwell you know. Absolute bollocks. 1970 was another matter altogether mind.

Aye the 1985 one is on You Tube..even into the early 90’s..we had a few Sunday dinner time games with them..the odd couple dotted here and there..the odd one would get in the Mainstand paddock..quickly dispatched..all this talk of thousands is utter bollocks believe me.

Huge police presence.

As we walked past the Wild Pig pub close to the ground at about 2.30pm a bunch of young Sunderland lads were being escorted away by police, 2 on horseback, lots anti Newcastle chanting then a few mins later maybe 25 Mags ran up the other side of the road, giving it the big un, police had it all wrapped up, vans, horses, dogs, was just verbals, saw nothing after that game.
That’ll be 25 mags who won’t have the bottle at our place.
