Advice please

Evening all,

I retire at the end of March and summers of leisure await (I hope!).

I was a regular at DCCC games in the early days but becoming a dad knocked that on the head. My visits to the Riverside in the last few years have all been for internationals (and a Rod Stewart gig).

For years I've intended that when I stopped work I'd join up and put in some time at the Riverside, and that's what I'm going to do, but it certainly won't be every day of every match (I far prefer the CC and one dayers to T20 and worse).

Any thoughts on joining (as opposed to just turning up.and buying a ticket on the day) would me much appreciated - thank you, one and all.

If you’re a new member it’s £240. Paying on the door costs £20. For your £240 you get 7 (for now) 4 day games and 7 (for now T20 games, also 4 (again for now) 50 over matches, so really it’s up to you to decide if you’ll get value for money by joining. You also get a small discount on any internationals we get to host.

£145 if you’re over 60 and join before 23 Dec. Worth every penny imho.

To add to that gold membership offers 5 years for the price of 4 (although realistically who knows where cricket will be in five years time)

It does however given you a certain privilege to lord our over other mere mortals.

You don't have to get to many games to make it worthwhile.

I've been a member for around 8 years and only recently went to my first T20 😅 I usually only go to cc games and you only need to go to around 3 full games or a few days of each game and you've paid it back really.

Early bird may only apply to renewals, I'm not sure about that though

£15 for County Championship. Can get £1.50 deduction if you buy online in advance though.

@The Red Telephone you need to see this lad for permission to enter the trapdoor stand. It’s his personal fiefdom
The way things are going at the club it wouldn't suprise if we turn up at the beginning of next season to find that The Trapdoor has been dismantled and replaced by a Council Recycling And Waste Centre as they call them these days.:D
Likewise if they wish to enter the elite stand of the County Durham Upper
Only the bravest of the brave can scale those lofty heights

Don't man. I can't bear the thought of losing the trapdoor as well as rushy, it would just be too much.
