I see the writer is "Mirror Football" i wonder who he/she is! Also how many stories he/she has got right.

I prefer to judge people/organisations by what they do rather than what they say........the club stated that selling your better players was a relegation model but they sold them nonetheless. I agree it's probably bullshit and all I'm saying is that it wouldn't surprise me if we sold him but I would be absolutely staggered if we loaned him out.
No they didn't.

Not going to go throught the Byrne Relegation Model stuff again. Suggest people re-read the article, understand what she actually said and stop repeating half the f***ing quote.

AJ might be frustrating at times but there's no getting away from it he's one of our best players. Why the fuck would we loan him out? If we sell him for any less than we paid we've learned fuck all. I'm looking forward to seeing him play with more space an freedom next season when hopefully he has some better quality around him to take the pressure off.

Regardless whether it's half the quote or not, she said selling your best players is a relegation model
Half the quote missed once again and its the half that makes all the difference. Selling your best players and not reinvesting is the relegation model. She's talking about keeping the cash to record a profit on the annual accounts. We sold our players to reinvest in the squad. That in itself is not a relegation model.

Frankly we got decent cash for both our big players last summer in the current market. However the players we reinvested the money in didn't perform. That's where our problems come from.

Even if we sol him for as much or even more, who could we bring in who'd be better?

Margaret Byrne is quoted as saying it

Ellis Short?
exactly, so its his fault if all we read on here is '' its cos ov his wages like ''..... '' well who gave him those wages? ''

does short like to give out wages that are too high, then panic like fuck in a years time when he's desparate to get him off the books? makes no sense to me.

She also says there are clubs who are profitable but aren't in this league any more

Randy Lerner did exactly that at Villa
