I just think it's the nature of 24 hour coverage and having message boards and social media. People will vent their anger instantly and publicly. I'd guess you've got some of your lot complaining that you conceded two goals at home today?

You would be amazed by some of our lot.
Saying the players are not fit etc. Ffs they watch a different game. We went 3-0 again in the first half. The tempo of the game was incredible.
Burton no mugs. A few of our players like Baudry and Pitman haven’t got a pre season behind them but every game and week putting on another 15 minutes.
Pitman not bad today, nice finish and nearly got another. Definitely lost some timber.
So many people more interested in posting on the negatives instead of focusing on the positives. Once the game is over all that matters is the result. The recording of the game can benefit the players and onto the next match.

We never got "lucky" that is utter bollocks

We won by virtue of a disputed penalty. We didn't look like scoring apart from that while they hit the bar and had another couple of good chances.

Let's be realistic, it had 0-0 written all over it and it was only Hulme getting to the ball a fraction ahead of their player that won us the game. We may have had more possession but we looked lost in the final third.

We don't always get that stroke of luck at SAFC but we got some today - in my opinion of course.

It goes to show that a lot of our fans are absolutely clueless. Cant even be happy with a win.
I'm happy with the win.
I'm happy with our start.
I'm happy with our squad.(best in the league for me)

What I'm not happy with is the clueless knacker in the dugout who thinks Wyke is a footballer, Willis is a right winger or Gooch should be up front then centre mid while Scowan plays right wing, etc,etc...

It was a clear penalty

But we're not going to get from 8th in League One, to wherever we want to be, while spending no money in the transfer market and under a salary cap, without first doing what we are doing - getting organised, playing to a system, and getting important results.

Its a system designed to stop us losing. We need more than that to get promoted - the last two seasons should tell us that

You sound like ya hoping it wont happen. No shock
I wpould love us to get out of this league 110%.

I've been on the happy clapper side marra and I see (and understand) what you're trying to do, it's admirable but when you finally see the shit for what it is you'll feel duped and silly.

We've been taken for mugs for a few years now.

I'm now at a point where I've been completely ground down and left with nothing but cynicism and scepticism towards the club hierarchy, management team and playing staff.

The writing is on the wall, despite a good start points wise, we will not go up with this manager in charge.

Maybe I should just take a break from SAFC for a period.

Disagree. Hulme slid in to get ahead of their player. I don't think (and I've only seen it from the one angle) that his progress was impeded by the opponent, not was it reckless and nor was there intent to foul. That's my opinion - clearly the ref thought otherwise but I'll bet there's quite a few who don't.

Anywhere else on the pitch and the game would've carried on without question.

Ok then i will bookmark a post if we dont go up so you can revel in that and say i told you so. Thats exactly what any fan of a team should want 👌

But of the three games this season, we've beaten two teams who should be our rivals for promotion (and we should have won the other game). Currently it's winning us (important) games.

And should we not just enjoy the wins without worrying about games that we may or may not win in future?

I think it was a fortunate penalty having seen it three or four times. On the other hand, the ref was near enough on top of it so had a better view than any of us.

We have aload of fans who are gagging for us to get beat so they can get on their soap box. Even when we win they dust it off
I don't know any supporter of any team who wants their team to get beat. I'm over the moon we've won today, but I can see that without improvement / signings we are unlikely to go up as we don't score enough goals. As things stand, our top scorer is likely to be Gooch or Maguire. The new signings appear to be back up players rather than people that will improve us.

It's remarkably similar to the last 2 seasons, trying to grind out 1-0's and the manager seems to be happy with this. I'd be happy to watch turd and get promoted but I don't think that will happen. We create few good chances as we have no quality around the box and was it not for a disputed pen we wouldn't have scored today, other weeks we won't get the pen.

I know that some people on here go over the top, but I don't think that they are annoyed because we won, but because we're still not good enough.
