What I saw today was a team
-handling attackers who had them beaten for pace
-having plenty of possession in the opposition's half
-keeping a clean sheet against promotion contenders
-winning a game

Wasn't pretty like, but there it is.

We all seen a team mate, though the posters who were more clear of sight seen an extremely (and most worryingly) turgid one!

Sorry mate... while I agree that the negativity can be OTT on here at times and there's a lack of objectivity towards manager and certain players we can't disguise the fact that we are organised as a group but are lacking any kind of intent or purpose going forward.

We got lucky with the win today - the fans see that and expect better.

We never got "lucky" that is utter bollocks

Well I suppose my point is that when we are getting good results I'd rather enjoy the positives.

But as you asked

- I don't think Wyke is a 'f***ing disgrace of a footballer' - I think he is limited, isn't enough of a goal threat, but has some attributes. I'd rather we had better, but having sat through Ndong, Rodwell, Kone, Djilobodji, etc in recent years I wouldn't call him a 'f***ing disgrace of a footballer'.

- McGeady is finished, is toxic, doesn't work hard enough, can't play for the team, and slows too many attacks down. It isn't 'f***ing madness' to freeze him out. We're more effective with him not in the side, even if we don't get the endless pirhouettes before lifting a cross into Row Z any more.

- I don't think we are totally devoid of quality in the final third. Gooch shows moments of quality and our wing backs do too.

- Our centre backs may have been outpaced at times, as most teams will be against them, but constantly beaten for guile? Don't remember that. They dealt with them well.

- I don't think Parkinson is a clown, I think he is a manager with a good record at this level, even with weaker teams, and has as much chance as anyone we could realistically appoint of getting us promoted, given the constraints he is working with.

- O'Brien has started two league games. Too early to write him off as a poor buy. He looks like a good footballer who is better in a wide position to me, but I'll wait and see.

- I don't think 'that was terrible'. We'd have lost that match under Ross. I think it was a match we could very easily have lost, we dug in, made ourselves hard to beat, and took a chance to win the game. That will do me.

Whilst I agree there’s no need for negativity after another win, I can’t see another post saying Wyke isn’t a disgrace.

Thankfully, the majority of our fans now see that he is exactly that. Unfortunately there’s a small number who still think he “tries hard” and “does a job”. In short he doesn’t.

The man is absolutely shocking, he offers nothing, he doesn’t draw in defenders, he can’t win a header, if he does it goes to the defender, he can’t score one on ones, he can’t hit the ball cleanly, he can’t win a header in the box. Yes that’s limited, now you could almost ignore that if he put in 100% every week, but he genuinely doesn’t. The bloke is a coward, he goes down easy when he could be through on goal, he’d rather go down to “win the foul” but the ref never buys it and he looks stupid. He fluffs any sort of chance because he panics, and in all he’s absolutely terrible and doesn’t want the ball.

In Short Wyke is absolutely the worst thing that could happen to us, and if he continues to start, we’ll come unstuck again.

Sorry but Wyke is a disgrace of a footballer, offers the square root of fuck all and Parky is a f***ing clown.

How would you have set us up to deal with their pace then? Who would've been your starting striker? Would you have stuck with the 3 defenders? How do you rate Parkinson's signings? Reckon we could've had anyone better for that money?

But we're not going to get from 8th in League One, to wherever we want to be, while spending no money in the transfer market and under a salary cap, without first doing what we are doing - getting organised, playing to a system, and getting important results.

They're not rose tinted at all. We didn't play well today. Our football isn't pleasing on the eye, most of the time. We rely on working as a team and playing to a plan. There are players in the squad and team I don't particularly rate. I wish we had a striker who could score 20 goals. Our owner is a clown and a chancer who I wish would fuck off. I'm no happy clapper. I just don't understand the mentality of piling in on a manager and team when, through hard work and organisation, they are delivering the kind of results that will lead to promotion.
Correct

- Our football is dire
- We're not creating loads
- Wyke is a f***ing disgrace of a footballer
- We have no pace whatsoever up front
- Without Maguire we are totally devoid of quality and creativity in the final third and it is f***ing madness to freeze McGeady out.
- Burge is still iffy
- Willis, Wright and Flanagan were constantly beaten for pace and guile
- Scowen didn't take his chance
- Maguire wasn't in it
- Gooch struggled to get in the game
- All of our strikers do fuck all and none are good enough to start
- The team selection of strikers shouldn't be pick and mix every week
- There's no way we are getting out of this league with this clown in charge
- Wyke is shocking
- O'Brien is a poor buy
- That was terrible

What happened to enjoying an important win on a Saturday night? We've got 7 points from three games - including two against playoff sides from last season. We're in the play off places and only two points off the leaders. We aren't conceding goals. Every player, however limited, is giving 100%.

Are people going to whinge on like this all season if we keep winning all season? If so, do they not think they may be happier finding a different hobby other than following a football team who they can't wait to slag off?

Is this a Parkinson thing? That people are so blinded by the fact they wanted Kevin Phillips or whoever that they will just slag the guy off even when he is getting good results?

Great summary of the complaints but I agree, we are being over critical about the quality (or lack of it) of football. Don’t get me wrong, we will never play tippy tappy football under Parkinson, but it makes perfect sense to keep it tight against the teams we think will be challenging with us. We could have very easily lost both games so to take 6 points is fantastic.I don’t think Hull and Ipswich will take 6 points from those two respective games this season. I would think the shackles will come off a little after the charlton game:

I bet you wanted to keep jack Ross until his very last game and even then still did

I could not care a less what the football is like to be fair. We pissed on Bristol Rovers and got a point. After 3 seasons in this league i will take being shit every single week if we win if it means we get out of it
We won't, please bookmark!

That's a lot of questions to deal with in one go.

No, I wanted him sacked the morning after the playoff final actually because I didnt want him spoiling the next season. I think he was a shite manager who couldn't organise a team to save his life. I endured his teams for over a year without once understanding how we were trying to play. He squandered the best chance we had of promotion. He ballsed up two Wembley finals through his own tactical ineptitude and cowardice. He allowed fitness levels to drop to levels that were embarrassing. Beneath the cardigans, I think he is an absolute fraud, and will be found out soon enough at Hibs.

Hope that clarifies my views on Jack Ross.
