Ac refill Sunderland

There's a garage just around the corner from Lidl in Roker; also one just up from the Shoulder of Mutton in Penshaw. Your probably looking at about £40-50.

Halfords do it, but it's worth getting it checked out to see if it actually needs refilling or not. Paid £60 for Halfords to refill it and by the time I got home it was blowing out hot air again. Had to take it to a garage called Auto Electrical Solutions next to the cinema/casino in the town who specialise in aircon, they found a hole in the aircon and the whole unit needed replacing.

Had similar recently. Kwikfit refill £60 done twice n no good. My audi man found a leaking pipe, £550 to sort. Went back n got a refund of kwikfit.
Kwikfit claimed you should recharge every other year, bollocks, its my trade n that gas shouldnt go anywhere without a leak.

That shouldn’t happen. It should be tested after removing the gas and before refilling.

The place next to the cinema is an ac specialists. Id go there
Everyone with an air con machine calls themselves a specialist. Basically, they know how to work the machine and find leaks.

I’m certainly not going to tell you how to suck eggs but we were always told that the seals between pipes, compressors, condensers etc. needed lubricating to maintain a seal. If you didn’t use your air on that would dry out and the gas would leak past the seals. There is no should be recharged argument though…

Nah, that place is a specialist Air Con and Electricals garage. They found and fixed my AC problem when my local VAG Specialist had failed after 3 attempts.
They also fixed my AC on my old car when the compressor died - it's the same place that used to be next to the Stadium Of Light in that small enclosed compound near the station.

I used to be an ‘Air Con Specialist’. It’s nowhere near as complex as a commercial air con system I bet. A sealed system, can only be about one of 5 or 6 parts, bit of UV dye in the system and it’s easy enough to trace.

Yeh mate by no means a car specialist but believe youre right. Pipes need to expand n contract to maintain. Like a cock if unused just shrived up n lose gas 😉

Whilst good those machines will do a pressure test of say 300psi, say its fine then lob gas in. In our game you sometimes need to crank it up to 4,5,600 to find a pinprick leak as this was ie fracture of an alluminium hose costing £300 ffs.
Just wind the window down.
Not possible on mine.
Air intake is by various sources of heat apparently so a drive to glasgow n back was a fecking killer.
You know what @Goat Eyes bet thats fecking intentional so youre forced to have the bassa looked at!
