Abdoullah Ba

Embleton can play off the wing which will guarantee him game time - the player in direct threat from Ba is Dan Neil.
Agreed, Ba played a lot further forward than Evans would yesterday. I don't think we've got anyone who plays the role Evans does, I know he was quiet yesterday but there are still times that he gets a vital foot it just in front of or stepping into the defence. I don't think we've got anyone else who reads the game like that, Neil and Ba would be really stretched. I got the feeling yesterday we were getting more and more open due to Evans going off and Bennette offering less cover on the wing than Clarke did.

Do you think?

He looks talented but for me he seems to spend too much time fannying about and hitting the deck based on today. Way way too soon to cast judgement on the lad though I think he could be an asset.
His attempt to win a free kick was farcical.
I don’t see him as a replacement for Evans right now, but he’s certainly got something.

Whilst pritch / embo dont score goals or create more assists their places are automatically there to be challenged. If diallo delivers next game or two then manager gonna have some tough decisions by time strikers return. We need the attackers contributing more with the goal stats

Evans will always 'look' more effective in games where we don't enjoy as much possession as we did on Saturday. They were happy to sit in, let us have the ball, and pretty much play for set pieces.

We're a better attacking side when teams come onto us and we can catch them on the counter. That's why we look better away from the home where the impetus is on the home side to have a go.
As I said your in the minority. Actually you might the only one. You said he was poor, that’s different to not having a great game. Make your mind up.
I thought he went to ground too easily. I thought he could have released the ball on a few occasions where he overran it. I'm not interested in midfielders being dribblers... get ya head up. His decision making could have been better. All in all, he didn't really do owt. I didn't come away from the game impressed by him.

He's a young lad with a handful of games to his name. It's a learning curve, I respect that. It's all relative, but my saying he looked poor was as much a response to people on here saying how wonderful he looked.

Like I say you’re pretty much on your own. Your reasoning still doesn’t justify him being ‘poor’

Every pod and bit of feedback is he was good on Saturday. Yes some might be over the top but I can’t see anyone else claiming he was poor.

I've not seen anybody anywhere rate him anything above a 6, apart from on here.

As I say it's relative. I thought Embleton was poor. Was Ba any better? Not really. People are saying Evans was poor, and apparently that's allowed. Was he any worse than Ba? Absolutely not. I thought we missed him a bit when he went off, but he'll be needed to start on Tuesday.

Perhaps it is an over reaction to say he was poor, but I've at least put it in context. And it's certainly no more an over reaction that it is to claim he's the most exciting signing we've made in years. Based on Saturday? I don't think so.
