Agree a very difficult game to make a debut in but the lad done ok tidy on the ball didnt give it away much a 6/10 about rightHenderson started slowly, looking lost, but as the game progressed he grew into it and overall can felled pleased with his efforts.
I'd like to see his pass completion stats around 90% Id say?
6 out of 10 for me, well done Jordan
He did well for his debut, initially playing a very unfamiliar role.
When Crouch came on & Gerrard went off & England went 4 4 2, he was able to pick out some excellent passes & was a lot more involved, playing more in the role he plays for us.
Didn't too bad, kept the ball a lot better in the 2nd half when Gerrard dropped deeper but I think he'll be made a scapegoat more so than Barry who was shitter but more experienced.
Hopefully, he'll be given leeway from the more sensible journos for his inexperience.
Neither Jordan Henderson, nor Jay Bothroyd look ready.
News of Gareth Barry’s withdrawal drew particular delight from the England fans but Henderson, utterly anonymous, could also easily have been hooked.

Twat!
There were more noteworthy changes, such as Jordan Henderson making his debut, but it was the Sunderland player's ill-fortune in the first half to discover that he could not be a deep-lying playmaker when France's control made him defend. Worse still, the opposition concentrated initially on his area of the field and employed that channel to score.

...The press are a bunch of hypocritical wankers who will complain in a few years that England have "no talented, just hard working players"
Head in the sand. Very very poor, and that's being kind. The only mitigating factor was the quality of the opposition.Henderson started slowly, looking lost, but as the game progressed he grew into it and overall can feel pleased with his efforts.

I made the exact same comment in the first half, not just regards to Henderson but on the team as whole. The experienced players didn't step up when needed, although lets face it thats expected they never do against half decent opposition .I was a bit annoyed with Crapello to be honest.
20 year old kid making his debut and he didn't seem to get much support from his more experienced colleagues. Also played a different role to what he plays at SAFC.
We should have picked a young squad for the World Cup, silmilar to how Germany did it. The ***** in England don't realise that every young player will adapt to international footy straight away and it's evident that the current system and the 'star' players are holding back progress.
I'd perhaps keep playing an experience centre back and central midfield but then keep the rest of the positions for younger players.
It's all I hate about the English (sports) media.
They've mentioned that Barry was 'labouring', that must be posh for 'shite'.
Has Henderson ever been a 'holding' midfielder? From what I've seen at SAFC he's either putting through probing balls or has been played out wide.
No mention of how he improved in the 2nd half?

The good news is that every Premiership manager will have seen that so he will be staying
Typical media shite, used to it by now though
