As a matter of interest, to compare the regions, I'm in Okehampton in Devon. Paying between £3.60 to £4.80 for a pint of Thatchers, depending on the pub. How does that compare?

My locals are always heaving. Sometimes see people playing scrabble, but they’re still selling plenty of drink
