A question about jam on toast

Nee butter on bacon or sausage sarnies....butter on everything else.

What about cheese on toast?

What's your preference?

Bread under grill, toast one side.

Turn bread over and lightly toast other side, take out from under grill and spread a light layer of mustard on before grating loads of cheese on top and returning to the grill. When cheese starts to melt, remove once more for a few splashes of Worcester sauce before finishing off under grill.

No butter - just jam.

What about cheese on toast? We had this discussion when my eldest was here last weekend.

I toast the bread as normal and then put the cheese on and grill it just until the cheese melts. I like it so the toast is crunchy all the way through.

He puts the cheese on bread and then toasts it under the grill until the cheese melts and the edges of the bread are toasted but the bread is still soft in the middle.

What's your preference?
Toast one side. Turn over and add cheese. Grill that side.
